Our Team

As the owner of VG Sports, I take pride in having an extremely diverse staff of writers. My focus each year is to make sure we provide quality strategies and tips for every range of players. With that said, I have compiled a versatile team of strategy providers so that no stone is left unturned in our quest to improve your game.

Let me take a quick moment here to introduce the team:

Bert Ingley (VG_Bert) has been the owner/operator of VG Sports since it began in 2002. Bert has been playing Madden since 1989 on his Apple II computer. He has also played NCAA each year since it began. His reflexes have slowed down a bit, but his passion is still strong.

Paul Gleason (Kobra) has been playing Madden & NCAA forever and is one of the true offensive geniuses of the game. He has consistently been ranked in the top 20 online since online play began.

Ron Jackson (Philly Ron) came up as part of Gametime Philly which is one of the nastiest and most competitive leagues/crews in the country. A former college safety, Ron brings a mix of real life experience and Madden strategy to the table.

Bernie Hayes (Big B) is our own Master of the Compression offense. He brought this scheme to the football gaming community back in 2005 and continues to develop top quality ballers as commissioner of the EMB. He has coached multiple crew members to EA Madden Challenge titles.

Clifton Gilmore (Mr. Squeeze) has served as co-commissioner of the EMB which turned out this year’s Madden Nation & Madden Challenge champion. In addition to being a top notch coach and lab partner, Squeeze is a top baller in his own right. He’s been to numerous Madden Challenge Final Fours and took down the winner’s trophy at the recent GTP Madden Bowl.
