Marcus is a well known player on the streets of the Washington D.C., and the Maryland area. He made his bones on the streets of D.C. He has the best stick in the nation and is as raw as they come.
He uses the singleback set. He flows from all types, but he uses the Tight Doubles when he want to pass and give a compressed look.
These are some adjustments that you can make. We extended the SE and the SL1. You will see that you have a nice 3 way flood and you have solid pass protection. Marcus loves using the Eagles. He loves the way Mcnabb gets the ball where it needs to be. He manually catches everything so that the WRs aren't a concern.
This is a view of the play once you hike it. We want you to see how he sees the play once he hikes it. This is what he is looking at--the pass rush, the flood, and possible running lanes if the pocket gets hot.
With the motion, you have a nice match-up for the manual catch. If you look at the slide above, you have probably noticed that the defense froze the players. This was why the SL1 was open with no one over him (the un-covered WR theory). This is the play that won him the $1,000.00.
That's right--the POUND GAME. You see, Marcus loves to pound the rock. So he uses the slam and formation shifts it to the tight doubles. Now you have pound with pass out of the same set. This is WCO style, no doubt. Quick pass with the pound cake.
The Slam has a quick handoff and you can get close to 5 yards a clip when you read your lanes well. Look at what Westbrook has to work with.
