I read somewhere that EA wouldnt do roster upgrades because of the NCAA. I dont know if this is true or not but I did read this.

I believe the producers of the game stated that due to NCAA regulations, they cannot provide roster upgrades/updates

yeah we heard about this over the weekend.

The reckless driving charge is because its reckless driving in VA if you are going 20 mph over the speed limit. The highest speed limit in VA is 65. The dope however is just so dumb... I mean you have the world at your finger tips and you do something that stupid?

But I look at it this way. The Miami recruit gets probation after violating probation to begin with. He has 9 separate instances of being arrested. And Miami still takes him back? Meanwhile VT suspended Imoh (number 20 HB) and a WR for 3 games for the participation with Vick in his original problems, and they had also suspended Vick for 3 games. Now he is suspended indefinately..

VT at least is cleaning house. Many hard liners are calling for Vick to be gone forever, because VT has always prided itself in a clean program.

If it were up to me, I would make him prove how much he really wants to play. I would suspend him for the year and see if he will stick it out. After all Randall is a senior, and can easily lead the team at the Qb position.

Loading rosters for Online when I load up to play 2004 online. The rosters are different right/ so is there not an update at some point? or is it just a second set of rosters in the original game?

I'm not sure. I've never loaded any rosters for NCAA online. But here is the quote from an interview with the games producers:

7) "Sports Games without Roster Updates are essentially dinosaurs as they are essentially outdated after a few weeks (as there is too much flux in sports games) Players like Maurice Clarett ended up not even playing College Football in reality (and Mike Williams status in up-in-the-air this year) and Jason White and Larry Fitzgerald were among the many players who should have benefited from major stats increases (and declines), along with entire teams that should have increased like LSU and USC (not to mention an updated top 25) will we finally see statistical, injury, eligibility and missing player updates this year?"
Unfortunately, we cannot offer roster updates due to stipulations from the NCAA.

It kind of sucks that NCAA regulations aren't allowed to post names and even upgrades through online support. I understand the problem of them not recieving any prociets or benefits from it thats why its outlawed, but damn they should have an option hidden in the game that you can turn on and BAM you've got names with the players!!
Think about it, when you do put the players names in they same them, so therefore, they initially recorded it in the first place!!!! So how can the NCAA complain since they ar ealready preprogrammed to the game?
Plus why couldn't there be some kind of a roster update through EA, I mean all they would have to do is just use the same old CB #34 or MLB #56 or something, then they could get around those regulations. I don't know just a thought.
