I don't know thats a good question I want to know myself!! I mean 4 meaning linemen, 2 meaning LB's, 5 meaning Db's sounds like a Nickel to me.

Well, the 4-2-5 might be closer to the 4-4 than the nickle.
Here's how I think it looks:
...................................S
..................R............................... ...M
...............................B.....B
...C.....................E....T....T....E......... ............C
R(over) & M(onster) are OLB/Safety hybrids who must defend the run and pass equally well. They can also be used in a variety of blitzes.
The similarity with the 4-4 is that the 4-2-5 has only one 'true' safety. It is much better against the run than the nickle.
The Rover and Monster designations are my own. Some teams call them different things... rovers, bandits, razor, etc.

It's like a nickel, but when bombers see's this, he will tell you the difference in the defensive styles.
