Matchup What!!??

I was reading the reviews and have seen countless gameplay videos and I still don't get this Matchup stick at all??!! I mean is it that hard to realize that if Braylon Edwards is on some mediocre sophmore corner hes gonna toast em!!???? I don't need a function in the game to show me that. I saw how you can check the composure of your players with it, but c'mon man thats seems to be the only thing you can do with it.
It would be tight if you could move players to mismatches mid-play(similar to multiple audibles at the line) Like putting Craphonso Thorpe in the slot by moving him from lead flanker while your on the field, just select a reciever with the D pad and then sending the man in motion with the R stick, and being able to do this multiple times. Granted you don't violate how many men can be on one side of the ball. That would seem to be more of a "MISMATCH" to me.

wouldn't a smart player adjust though? and what if he was in man, the db would automatically follow the reciever he's lined up with. now package subs would be different, like how madden is now. if ncaa does that though, they will have to put the man lock feature in also. i doubt they'll do this though. it could get complicated (the programming) considering there are +100 teams in ncaa

So then the defense would be allowed to counter putting u in an endless array of multiple movements creating a paradox in which the play clock would infinitly read zero thus cause the adverse reaction of the striped man launching a maize cloth unto the dew ladden grass resulting in a reckless loss of 15 feet.

djwill I like the player lock feature alot!!! that would definitely play deeper into the strategy of how you maneuver at the line of scrimmage!!! I was just sayin how when I first saw the Match up stick thing I thought they were making a feature that exploited mismatches a little differently, not just like how Marlon Jackson might be rattled in the Oval at OSU while guarding Santonio Holmes, i just wanted something a little deeper. I like the thoughts though!!!

I like the idea ofmatchup stick looking at the composure of the player, but imust admit, when I first heard of the matchup stick I too thought it would be to match up a "Braylon Edwards" against a slot DB ,ot something of that nature. I would have to say you could change where Braylon would play in certain formations to get that matchup against a DB with bad composure, but if you do this then EA should have a matchup where a teams best DB will be on Edward the whole game.
