A friend of mine that works at EB Games here said all preorders will be called on MONDAY, any leftovers will be put on shelves for sale, but the preorders already out numbered the order coming in.

EB stores in New Orleans will have it on Monday July 12 (Pre-orders). I'll be there BRIGHT and early, then going back on July 20 to get my pre-ordered ESPN 2005, THEN back on August 10 for my Madden 2005. I'm gonna be FOOTBALED OUT by the time September rolls around!

wow, you guys must live in football gamers capital of the world...

where i live, there is no need to preorder any football games, the last few years i have bought madden and ncaa

and i bought them the day they came out in stores, in the afternoon... and there was still 10- 15 or so copies left of the game

If I have to wait an extra day or two I think I will be able to deal with it. Besides I have a Walmart, Kmart, Best Buy, Circuit City and an EB Games within 3 miles of each other so I don't think they will all be sold out on the 13th

Yep, college football is by far and away the most popular sport down south.

In H-Town we have about 6 or 7 Best Buys & Circuit City's ( of each ), a Fry's Electronics, God knows how many Wal-Marts and Targets. But we also have close to 4.5 million people in this city also............... so you can guess that a fair amount of those will be gamers. So our stores down here sell out very quickly. And yes College football is very popluar down here.

Yep, college football is big. I'm very familiar with the Houston area. I was down there a few months ago to check out the Rockets and Grizzlies on a Saturday night. I never should've taken my gf to that tourist trap known as the Galleria. My wallet has yet to recover from that shopping trip .

I was talking about basic suburbia, we may have 300K people in my county, and the NY tri state area has never been the hot bed for college football unfortunately unless it was Notre Dame :p

All of you guys are lucky!
For whatever reason EA will not sell the game in Canada...guess where I live?
So I have to make a 2 hour drive into Mich. to pick up the game.
I've pre-ordered it from EB Games and I'm having it sent to a store in Mich.
The store says they expect to have the game between 7-8pm on the 12th- of course I'll phone first to make sure the game is in.

I live in NY and I'm not too worried about the game selling out. Just to make sure though, because there is always uncertainty, I will reserve it for just $5.

From my first online experience on the X-Box live, the game plays pretty good. I played in the Swamp against Floridia and my guys were rattled all game. Had 6 drops and loss 9-7 in close game full of turn overs, drops, and missed FG's. Got to get use to the X-Box controller real quick.

You poor poor man. :(

The Galleria is no place for the weak and timid. My wife wants to go to the day spa they have in there. Talk about your wallet taking a serious hit. I have to save up for several months before I take the wife and kids to the galleria.
