Basically call the coverage audible so that it appears on the screen. Hold the anlaog stick about halfway while also holding the speed burst button. If the coverage audible disappears you're holding it too far. The coverage audible alert being up will keep the defender you're controlling from moving. At the snap the guy you're controlling will get an incredible jump on the play since you're already holding the speed burst and the analog stick in that direction.

I wouldnt do it too much vs someone, many consider it very cheesy, many people in hear think so also, which to a point I understand, SPARKY OSU, flamed me on the issue.

Either I'm doing it wrong...or I'm stupid. I can't get it to work.

I'm assuming the Analog stick is the left stick on the xbox....

I press the "Y" button to bring up the coverage audible....then press the "B" button for speed burst....then do I press down on the left stick or do I pull it towards me?? I understand that if I do it too much the "Coverage Audible" will disappear....Is this correct??

Thanks Bomber.

Blackpowdereer-
Don't "depress" the stick, push it towards you- the direction you want your man to run.
It certainly does give your guy the quickest jump out of the blocks.

Sometimes u can blitz though the A and B gaps, I have actually blitz so fast that before the QB got he ball out of the shotgun I sacked him.

i cant believe i am helping someone with this, but dude if you want to do it right. BARELY BARELY pull down, if you think you arent moving the stick enough down, then you are probably holding it enough. you are basically trying to trick the game into thinking you are going to call a saftey shift towards the line, so the cpu is waiting for you to fully depress down, since you never do actuate the shift (never pulling all the way down) once the ballis snapped the run function kicks in and the guy takes off on the hike. hint and help... hit the defend/jump button during sweep tosses and you will intercept the toss, wprks during the option too. come out in 5-2 cover 3 and blitz left side of nose tackle with free/strong saftey, during shotgun or the qb spike play if you are stupid fast at reacting you can even intercept the hike or qb spike, i have done each twice. i am perfecting the ep/fg kick block. i am around 40% from outside on eps and 20% up the middle. if you think that is weak, hey when was the last time you blocked a fg? punt blocking with it? i am about 90% vs computer and 50/50 vs humans.

after today you will have to start all your perfecting over because no one will care about how to block EP's on last years game

so why would you waste your time perfecting something on a game that no one will be playing within the week. I figured you probably would know the release date because everyone is talking about it, but it seems like a monumental waste of time other then for your own satisfaction. If it does work in 2005 how would you even know it yet?
Just a couple of pennies I'm throwing out there
peace

Thanks for the answer guys....I have got it now....at least I know how to do it now....I tried it against the CPU and blew by the QB or RB every time.

Practice, Practice, Practice.

Black, use it wisely, dont abuse it. It can be stopped, it works in 05, but not as effective as 04.
