Guys,

We've posted the first articles for the 2005 Virtual Filmroom up on the site. Subscribers can log in as normal - http://www.collegefootballtips.com/film

If you would like to subscribe to the Virtual Filmroom, visit http://www.collegefootballtips.com for info.

Strong Normal Weak Counter - In NCAA Football 2004 it was for the most part fairly easy for virtual defensive coordinators to predict which direction their opponent's running plays would go when the offense came out in a base formation with the base personnel grouping of two backs, two receivers, and a tightend. That definitely isn't the case in NCAA Football 2005.

Shotgun Spread Slot Wheels - Knowing what everyone does on a particular play will allow you to be able to attack the defense regardless of what they may be doing. With that in mind the Shotgun Spread Slot Wheels play will help us illustrate this point. This play uses a vertical switch concept that allows the offense the ability to attack a variety of defensive schemes most notably Cover 1 and Cover 3.

4-2-5 Middle Blitz - EA Sports added the 4-2-5 to this year's game and we are excited to be able to breakdown all the ins and outs of this new defense. It should really add some more depth and fun to playing defense this year. The first defense from the 4-2-5 that we want to take a look at in the 4-2-5 Middle Blitz.
