Celtics @ Lakers - Game 4 Bets

Vegas says Lakers -8/game
To me, this line would put me on the fence IF I had no emotional investment in the game. My brain says that the Lakers are due for an "easy" win. But on the other hand, the Lakers had an oportunity to blow the C's out last game but didnt. Rondo is hurt which IMO makes Boston a better team, HOWEVER will Rivers go with Rondo too much and blow any chance for a celtic cover/win (like he did in Game3)? On GP, its hard to not take 8 points in the Finals, with the best Defensive team who does have Offensive firepower. I think the Refs will be consistent this game.
Take the Celtics +8. If you can buy up a half point, do so

I would/am leaving this one alone. If you had to take one, then take the Under. A better bet for the series is the half-time over/unders. I've only lost one this series (thanks doc!). Going forward, I'm taking the under for all the halfs. This game. 1st/2nd Half Over/Under is 95pts. Take the Under

I knew boston would lose game 3 and i felt very strongly about it. I now feel just as strongly that Boston will win game 4. i dont care how we do it...im not gonna break it down because it doesnt matter...i just feel that boston will win outright.

1) true, thats why if you are taking the celtics, get your bet in now.

2) Vegas has basically been giving us over/unders for game to be in the high 90's. Only 1 game hit that and that's only because Lakers hit 41pts in the 4th quarter.


Sometimes the games are harder than the over/under. If Laker's were favored by 5 or 6 points, then i would definitely avoid the game.

I have no emotional ties to this game but keep in mind one thing about the point spread moving - LA and LV are VERY close geographically. I know from first hand experience as a former sportsbook worker that when the Lakers are in the NBA Fianls, people from LA will go to Vegas and bet on them (or have their frineds who are already in Vegas do it, not to mention million or so transplanted SoCal peeps) .... and bet heavily ... thoughout the day.

The pro sports bettor is sending his boys out to all the casinos right now to sit there and watch that action, just waiting for that 8.5 from the Laker fanbase. Once that happens, you'll see Celtic money. This is a perfect game to grab a middle for the pro bettor which is something they always look for (Celtics +8.5 and then bet again on Lakers at 7.5)

That Middle play had to kill vegas on that Laker/Spurs game where Vujacic hit that "not necessary" 3pointer at the end of the game. My memory is a little fuzzy, but I had Lakers at something like -7.5 and when he hit that 3pter that gave them the 8pt victory which gave me the win. My friends who use the same bookie, took the Spurs +8.5 and won too. Bookie was so pissed at Vodooachick. What made it more incredible was that the line was -8 and we all bought a half point each way. This particular bookie takes the vig on pushes, so he got screwed by our half-points. We aint talking chump change either.

Well, that's like Gates saying the same thing and not delivering his Microsoft product after he has taking the money. That would be the end of his business. The bookies make plenty of money, so things like this dont hurt them in the long run.
