View Full Version : Favor for a newbie?

Hello everyone,
I have NCAA 2004 and really like it. The only team I really like using is Texas A&M. I'm trying to decide if I am going to buy the new version. Would someone who has the game mind telling me if there are new Aggie-specific features, such as classic teams (you know, like the teams in 2K4 that had retro-style uniforms) or Mascot teams, etc? I really appreciate it; it will help me make up my mind.

I'm mail ordering my game this year so I doubt I'll get it before other people do, but I'm sure someone will fill you in soon... if not I promise I will take a look and let you know!! :)

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone had some info for me on this yet. It's on sale at Fry's for $38, this weekend only, and I'll stick with 2004 if there's no "Aggie enhancements".

They still have the mascot teams and the historic teams are an option as well. I think a pretty cool feature that has been added is playing historic games such as the Cal vs. Stanford in 82 and Flutie's miracle pass against Miami. I would definitely jump on the offer at $38.

$38 rocks, I feel like a loser for paying full price a couple of days ago and all I have doone is read the manual

Aggie,

Sorry to keep you waiting man thanks for being patient, I just got the game thursday and have been playing it since.

I'm afraid I have some bad news for you on the aggie specific features.

The biggest frill (which maybe were in 2k4)- is maybe alternative uniforms for Texas A&M

No mascot team (obviously) and no A&M "classic team" (unless these are hidden until you earn the appropriate pennant... maybe somebody further along can let us know if this is the case)..

I give the game a c- overall as you can read, there some annoying glitches you may not like...

$38 bucks sounds like a good deal but you could probably wait for other stores to drop it down which they will do probably in march of next year or possibly after another big game (GTA:SA) comes out in October.
