I have to say, I was better at screens last year than this year, even though by playing games, I am getting better at it this year. The defense seems to react better this year, you really have to watch for corner sitting where the Wr or HB is, or the DEND will read it and sit in front of the HB, forcing you to throw the ball away. Anyone else care to share their thoughts.?

Yes the defense does do a better job of reacting to what the offense is doing. They'll even stand in front of the reciever if it's a hook route or the HB/WR is waiting for the screen pass!!

C'mon film room................... I need help. LOL

Farmer, give Bomber some time, its com'n, u know he hadnt had no sleep, and he lost probaly 20 pounds because he dont want to eat, cause he'll have to take a dump and that takes too much time away from the game. :D

It seems like to me the screens work better for certain teams, especially if you have a quick running back. The HB screens have bailed me out of some huge 3 and long plays but the Defense either needs to be sending the house on a blitz or dropping into a deep coverage zone... if no one is covering the underneath routes, it's money baby.

I relied heavily on screen passes initially until I started having success throwing the ball down the field. Shotgun Trips Slot Screen works better this year, because the receiver doesn't run in toward the line of scrimmage as he did in previous versions of the game.

I still have moderate success with these plays, the screens are my some of my favorite plays to use, they worked so well last year.

UGHH!! Brain Block
:(
I'm not sure which formation I used possibley flexbone wide (3wr 1FB 1rb) with the outside wr screen, but it allowed me to motion the inside slot to the the side the screen was going and had him running a deep corner. When I ran it the screen was there so I hit it but against a squating corner this would be great because it would really open that area up behind him like the smash route!

I have to agree though that I've found the screens harder to hit though.

COG, I am finding out on sceens (WR Screens) you don't have to wait for your blockers to get set, I am almost thowing the wr screens with a one step drop and a quick pass to WR running the screen and getting better results.

The WR screens I like the most ARe shotgun trips, and Noback,
The Noback I motion the slot from the left to the right, gives me 3 receivers to block for me, and as soon as I snap it I immediately throw it to him.
