After a day and a half of doing nothing but going in and out of practice mode. I finally decided to go online and look around.
To my suprise everything looked real nice and my buddy list carried over with everyone still intact.
I poked my head in the begginers room and BAM!!!! I get challenged by some guy that's 0-1 and ranked in the mid 6000's. Well my favorite team is the Trojans ( I've been a fan for as long as I can remember, and I played with them all of last year.) and his was the Gators. We go to the team select screen and I'm thinking, " Great, I have to play on the road in the #1 Loudest stadium." :rolleyes: Instead of taking Florida he takes FSU. I'm thinking " Wow ". Well the game gets under way with me getting the ball first. I experienced good success but eventually had to punt. He gets the ball and has to punt too. On my next drive I managed to score on a run play. 7-0 He gets the ball and decides to go for it on 4th and dosent make it. I take over and manage to only get about 6 plays in before I have to punt. I even managed to down the punt inside the 15 yard line. I stuff his run play, I sack him right at the goal line and then he does an intentional grounding in the endzone, which results in a safety for me. 9-0 Before half time I can only manage a FG, the guy kept the staduim rockin the whole first half. But I was able to maintain a 12-0 lead going into the half. I KO to him and he is able to get a drive going and manages to score, he goes for two and makes it. 12-8 Our next 2 drives were 3 and outs for both of us. But on my third try I was able to hit the open guy and move the ball with deacent success. Running the ball was hard but I was able to move a little bit. I score, go for 2 and convert. 20-8. The guy tries to get back into the game but is throwing into double and triple coverages and is picked of three times, once by the cpu and twice by me. :D After that he quits. and I think I managed to score and convert the 2 one last time against the cpu, which I think I held pretty well against.
Then I went off line and beat Notre Dame for my second win in a row!!!
So I would say I'm off to a good start for now. But I still need to find a PB I feel comfortable with.
