I am starting with Penn St. - LETS GO PSU!!! I will play 5-6 seasons or until I win a national championship with them and then start on the lower tier teams and try and build them up

I got to find a crappy team and build them up. Take the first year schedule and play it. Next season sub in a couple of top 20 teams, third season play nothing but top 10 teams and my conference. I always wanted to try Wyoming but the $heeeet brown uni's irritate me.
How is Notre Dame as far as ranking this year. I'm sorry, I bought the game but haven't had a chance to pop it in yet. I think I'm doing it tommorrow with a 6 of Cerveza with the lime cut up :)

Took over the ohio bobcats, and went 21-16 (counting one very disapointing loss to ohio state at the horseshoe, that was an instatn classic...reminder to self....value the match-up stick), but i now looking to move on (Peden Stadium only holds 24,000 and after trips to Ohio State and Virginina Tech who we beat  i want to get in one of those bigger stadiums and experience some HFA!

I may make a university for my dynasty, academic of course, and build them up. In an offline dynasty I'm doing with friends, I'm going to be Grambling.

San Jose State for me. There's virtually no HFA yet, but I do enjoy trying to build a program such as there's up. They have some decent enough talent to make the spread offense go.

I'm playing with LSU (graduated in 2000, ran track from 1996-2000). I'm 9-0, ranked #1 (including a 41-3 thrashing vs then #2 UF in the Swamp). They got down to my 10 yd line on thier 2nd pass from scrimmage, BUT I returned the next pass 104 yards for a TD. :D It was all downhill for them after that. I had 5 ints and 5 sacks. Funny thing is...against the WEAKER opponents, I have pretty horrible stats. but vs the ranked opponents, I thrash them and my QB looks like a Heisman candidate. My star HB Justin Vincent is out for the next 7 games with a foot injury, but I have Joseph Addai coming off the bench. Looks like I'll be playing FSU for the Nat'l Champ barring we both stay undefeated for the next 3-4 weeks. I'm #1 in Coaches poll, they are #1 in Media poll. BTW djwill13, I beat UG 28-21 between the hedges...SHOULD have actually been 35-21, but my HB got called out on the 1/2 yard line! LOL.

who else would i play with?

but i think im gonna start a new dynasty once i get all the players names put in, because the buckeyes are too good, and HFA is a joke especially the first season since we play michigan at home.

ive already learned most of the passing plays from my playbook and im not having too much trouble with my running game either... ill probably pick a team from the mac, bowling green looks good

I love watching MAC football. I have 7 of Bowling Green's games from a year ago on dvd. The reason I like the MAC is because every team in that league is a spread the field attack style one back offense. Even the Ohio Bobcats have ditched the flexbone offense and will be a spread offense team this year.

yeah i enjoy watching the mac too, but i enjoy almost any college football game to tell you the truth.

bowling green is my favorite team from the mac, and in ncaa 2004 i mad a dynasty with buffalo and turned them into a powerhouse, it took 7 or 8 seasons to do, but it was fun watching the buffalo bulls tear up teams like auburn and texas.

im guessing you have the ohio state game, that was a good one even though im gonna have to root for my buckeyes in that one

THe Hurricanes to start off with. Perhaps I'll go in later and play with a new team. I am a bit hesitant 2 play bc I don't have the downloaded rosters. I want 2 be able 2 track those players in Madden 05 for drafting purposes.

U know me always thinking about the chise!!!!!!

I'm rolling along right now with West Virginia. I'm 6-0 I think. I barely pulled off a win against VT 14-13. That was my first real taste of home field advantage. the crowd went nuts over anything it seemed. Then my defense shut down Syracuse, but my offense sputtered and I won 7-0.
Some crazy outcomes that have occurred so far,

Marshall beating Ohio State
VT beating USC
LSU losing to some no name
Miami losing to UNC

They just seem so unrealistic.

It was between Rice and UTEP. Wanted to build a program, and I wanted to make sure I had a big stadium. UTEP has 50K + seats, and Rice has 73,000. I went with UTEP because of a good MLB and a fast HB. I finally understand what you guys mean by slow gameplay. It seems like everyone is a lot slower in this years game. My back is a 91 speed guy, and my DE in last years game seemed faster. I'm going to see if there is a slider that may improve the speed of the game on the field.
Great thing about UTEP is their fans are so fickle that if you mess up they boo you, it's great

University Of Florida Gators, for me.
They have been my team since I was about 5 yrs old.

I wanted to clarify how I chose my teams and why it was between UTEP and Rice a little better. I went through the entire school list and listed each team at 1 star. At that point I wanted to find a school with a large stadium, and then existing personnel is what made my choice. Of all the 1 star teams no one else had a stadium bigger then 32,000 seats

I'm Auburn (of course). 5-0 at the moment with wins over then #3 LSU (41-19, late TD run by Carnell as i was running out the clock made the score worse) and then #5 Tennessee (41-24, Carnell tore them up for 212 and Obamanu had 3 TD grabs). I'm moving up to AA for LA-Tech, i was on varsity as i got used to the game, but when Carnell has 926 yards after 5 games, and Ronnie Brown is 3rd in the conference in rushing, i need a little more of a challenge. My best game was actually mississippi state. They kicked a field goal to tie it at ten late in the second quarter, but i got a good return, then threw a 55 yard TD pass as time expired and the route was on.

Speaking of crazy outcomes, in my first LSU Dynasty (before I started over with the Roster names and went from AA to Heisman)....UL Monroe went 9-2 and played Miami who went 7-4 in the Tangerine bowl! Miame won 17-7, but UL FREAKIN MONROE?! 9-2? A bowl game? Versus Miami?!

I just played week 5 of my new LSU Dynasty and 10 teams in the top 25 lost to underdogs. The SI cover said "Upset City, Most of top 25 teams lose". I had to go back a week and check the scores. I was too busy sweating out my 25-15 victory over #17 UGA "Between the Hedges". It was 15-12 UGA with 1:35 left in game before I scored 2 late tds to end it (missed two extra points and a 2 point try!) Also threw 3 picks, but my Defense came through when needed.

yeah...the 2 times I've played them so far have been tough games (keep in mind I played them both times AT Georgia). Also, SC gave me a HANDFUL in the SEC CHAMP game in my 1st dynasty. The funniest thing was I'd gotten so used to the HFA for OR against me that it was wierd in the SEC Champ game and NC game when there wasn't any advantage for either team. By the way, SC was ranked #9 and had the #5 defense in nation when I played them (my LSU squad was #1 of course and I lead SEC with 7 picks with Landry my FS #30). I think I only beat SC by 7. Three trips into the redzone with no points....pushed me from 4th to 10th in nation in redzone scoring LOL.
