HELP Passing the ball is being thrown out of bounds like 1/2 the times..

I have to use Maryland for the league I am in its like 1/2 the time the ball is being thrown out of bounds. How do I keep the QB from doing that. Then I have trouble catching the ball.. BUtter fingers..

Yeah the dropped passes can be a tad frustrating at times.

Bomber, have found any tips on catching? Are u manual catching any?

I'll look to manually catch the ball when throwing the deeper throws and to the backs. At times that doesn't seem to be enough. I have noticed that the more accurate the throw the more likely the chances of the receiver catching the pass. I think a large part of my imcompletions are the results of batted balls and the ball being jarred loose after a big hit.

After experimenting in practice I realized I wasn't planting my feet on every throw. Make sure you stop backing up in the pocket, it may help.

I'll try planting my feet better, but in 04 I found most of my flare passes didnt work when I let the RB run his route, I had figured out to pass as soon as I snap the ball.
This year, the passing timing is totally different.

Another thing I'm finding out....it's been said before, too, USE THE MATCHUP STICK!! It REALLY makes a difference whether the reciever will catch it or not. Of course it's only one of the many variables that need to be taken into mind. Some others....How the QB passes the ball....do you just lob most of your passes....or do you bullet throw....there is a happy medium there....use the Hot Route whenever possible to match your strongest reciever to the weakest CB....Call quick crossing routes or down and outs....if flinging the long ball...try and call a Hot Route to the WR your wanting to throw to....it's like the QB is telling the WR it's coming his way....then use the user catch....

I'm liking this game more and more....a LOT more nuances to learn....some bugs...but still very challenging
