I like the new one it the filmroom from the 4-2-5, I also like the 3-3-5 all out blitz- I pinch my dLineman and lb's, and blitz with off the edge with one of the safeties. I like to use this de against any formation, the only problem is any kind of short pass route could beat it with the 3 deep coverage. I use 3 or 4 enhanced blitze from the filmroom along with these. 4-3 and nickel thunder green, 3-4 thunder 2( These are in the filmroom )

If you get the filmroom, their is a good blitz from the 4-2-5, check it out.

Nickel Thunder Green (The ILB's blitz the inside gaps)is a good blitz, if you have good cover corner, or if you don't care and just like to send the heat. I learned this from GETTING AWN and it still works good, not only against the bunch sets but against other one back sets, and its a pretty simple set up.
1. I like to have my two fastest linebackers in at the nickel, or safeties, whichever you prefer
2. I call b n run, bring the safey covering the RB over the center, it helps pave the way for the LB's to blitz their gaps, then switch to the LB's for the sack
3. It is also a good de for an inside draw

I used the Nickel Thunder Green Blitz putting the safety covering the RB over center and pinched the linebackers using FSU against the ACE slot, I did this quite a few times, and as soon as the QB snapped the ball, he was sacked by a DT right as soon as he snapped it, or during his drop.

when I am blitzing say for example 3-4 Crash two, I blitz with one of the blitzing LB, the running back is there to immediately pick it up. Now on the same play if I manually blitz with a LB playing zone, he usually comes free. Could their maybe be a programming flaw or is it just me. Like the computer knows who the blitzing players are and know its coming, and if you manually blitz a player playing zone you have a better chance of getting a sack, king of like the HB tosses in a way, or I could just be crazy. I was using 3-4 cover 4 last night, blitzing with one of the lb's against and got good preasure on the QB blitzing one Linebacker against ace slot, of course blitzing from the weakside and the RB staying to block. I ran crash two and the computer did a better a job of picking the blitz up.

Does anyone in here still use any of the enchanced blitzs from the filmroom online?

Here is a nice little blitz on 3rd and long. I played a guy online use one the dime plays with the LB blitzing ( cover 2 or 3). he spreads the DLIne shifts the LB right ( or blitzes weakside). The linebacker is stacked behind the DT, this blitz brings some decent heat.

When you guys AB blitz who do you control and do you do any changes to the line or LB's prior to the snap
Personally I like the nickel inside blitz, I think it might be called a monster green where both LB's blitz inside and the d line run a stunt to the outside, the safety plays a deep zone and man coverage. I shift my line to the left and slide my DT directly in front of the center. It seems to open the gap between the DT in front of the center and RE alot of times so the blitzing backer can walk right in and say hi to the QB :D

Hobbs,
You can get to the QB without using the AB. Its a good thing to know if someone is doing it to you, but if you are using that as the means to which you get your pressure on the QB, you and everyone else that relies on it are going to be out of luck when EA finally fixes this problem with the programing of this game.
If you want to get really good on defense, learn to take over the MLB and take away the middle of the field, that will get you a lot farther than the AB.
IMO the AB isn't real football so if you don't care about playing reallisticly then by all means do it.
However if someone is going to take a 20 yard drop with their QB and chunk it deep all game long then thats a different story.

I hate having to do the AB and getting AB'ed back, I never start the game ABing, never, but a every game I have played online its BOMBS AWAY every play it seems.
I do throw deep on 1st down, but after that its back to business, I throw deep the first down to check his 2ndary, but some guy get ridulous.

Spreading your DLine really makes almost any blitz effective, and it truly doesn't hurt you the way DT's shed their blocks. Most people online are blitzing the B gaps, if you are a spread offense this takes away draw, not so sure about the direct snap though. I know last year running a draw against a spread line (given the play wasn't nickel thunder green) would really hurt you. ON the other hand watching people set up to blitz the B gaps, and if they don't mix in some coverages that look like their B gap blitzes, they can be picked apart , by hitting a receiver in the blitz area, mixing in some good zone blitzes would also help.
Try the 4-4 Mad robber- spread your Dline, put the two inside backers at about normal depth but to what gap they will blitz ( stack if you like), and blitz one of the Outside backers off the edge..

Yeah I was really just trying to figure out who to control with the sad sack UTEP team I use in franchise. The Nickel play I called out, I am not AB blitzing, I read another thread with a guy called mad rev and one of his disciples :D talking about that play from games past and when I tried it with this years version it seems to work but only a couple of times a game.
Last years game I was pretty good with the defense and I think it was because your standard blitzes just always got through if you spread it out and controlled an end. I'm still feeling my way with this game and I don't like to cheez. That is why I have really gotten into the Dynasty part of the game, unlike madden there was no 6th week manipulation and 50% turnover of the roster, BS save game and make more $ and so many other things. I like that you roll the dice, get the guys you can, set up the roster and play a season, if someone goes down too bad for you
Thanks for the ramble

Now that I have developed my short game. I am really dangerous now.. So when someone blitz me, I just throw behind him. U have to learn to read defenses, and know how to send people in motion to stop the ab blitz. I am starting to only ply on the play now circuit. I am using my hmmmm ok profile. I am now 20-4 in the 400s.... When u r a student of the game. U can look at what some people r doing and adjust quickly..... So whatever people do to me, I am normally able to counter it rather easily.
I enjoy the ply now function. U don't have to know the person's rank, and u can just have fun. U don't have to beg someone for a game, u can just hit ply now... It is great!!! ;)
