The film room is great and I suggest getting it. I think playing good defense requires patience and a sound philosophy. I change formations alot!!!. I change from man to zone alot!!!
I like to start 1st down in a 4-3 or nickel, send 1 or 2 backers on a blitz, and drop the others in coverage. It is more of a bend don't break philosophy for sure. If you get them into 2nd and long then the offense becomes more predictable. I like to shift my backers and line to different sides, and maybe spread my DE out one more click for containment. I just have to recommend not getting to greedy and trying for the sack to much because you can be eaten alive with the PA
