After having the game for a week this is my offense:
The basic idea of my offense is to attack the defense at their weakest point. So, I come out in I Form Slot Flex FB Dive and see how the defense reacts. If they come out in a pass defense I will pound the ball, if they come out in a run defense I audible to one of my gun formations.
Alot of people think this isn't many plays for an offense, personally I find an 8 play offense easier to manage. By manage I mean that I can easily remember the hot routes and passing progression used for every play.
I Form Slot Flex
FB Dive
(Quick Audible to Slants if no slides over the Slot Wide Reciever, then quick-pass to the slot WR and pass lead in)
Slants
(Read the middle of the field, if it is covered pass to WR#2, he should be open deep)
Curls
Vs. Zone: wait and the Wide Recievers will be sitting in the zones holes
Vs. Man: throw the ball right when the Wide Reciever turns
Gun Bunch Wk
Stick
Setup #1
Hot Routes:
HB on a slant-out
Vs. Zone: Read the flats on the right, if open pass to the TE, if the flats are covered pass to the slot, if the slot is covered rocket catch the corner route
Vs. Man: Look for the TE in the Flats, then the HB, then the slot on a curl, then WR#2 on the slant, then the corner route
Setup#2
Hot Routes:
TE on a streak
Slot on a Deepout
WR#1 on a curl
Vs. Zone: Look for the curl (it gets as open as it normally would against man), then the slant, the deep-out, then the streak (the streak can be rocket catched if you throw it with no pass lead)
Vs. Man: Look for the slants, then the deep-out, the curl and the streak
Setup#3
Hot Routes:
TE on a slant-in
Slot on a streak
Vs. Zone: Look for the slants (I check for the left slant first), the corner, then the streak
Vs. Man: Same Progression
Inside Cross
Hot Routes:
Slot on a streak
HB on slant-out
WR#2 on a Curl
WR#1 deep-slant-in
Vs. Zone: Read the curl flat combo (DB drops to flats and leaves curl open or follows curl and leaves flats open, you have to pass lead in to the HB), Post (If the Wheel Route or Streak isn't wide open there should be a small window for the post directly upfield of the RT), Wheel Route, Streak
Vs. Man: TE on the Wheel Route (quick-pass with a pass lead out), HB in the flats, Curl Route, Streak, Post Route
Gun Y-Trips Wk
Corner Strike
Setup#1
Hot Routes:
Motion WR#2 Right
HB slant-left
Slot slant-in
WR#1 deep-slant-in
Vs. Zone: flats, slants, c-route (can be rocket catched, pass lead down and inside when he breaks)
Vs. Man: Everything but teh c-route should be open quickly
Setup#2
Hot Routes:
Motion WR#2 Right
TE drag
Slot WR slant-in
WR#1 deep-in
HB slant-left
Vs. Zone: drag, slant, deep-in, corner, flats
Vs. Man: same progression
Strong Flood
Hot Routes:
Shift OL right
Motion WR#2 Right
HB slant-left
Vs. Zone: TE, deep-in, crossing route, streak, HB in flats
Vs. Man: Same Progression
