Patch questions

I have both '09 on my PS2 and my PS3. Both were bought for me as gifts without knowing the other was getting me them. Now I have been playing on my PS3 dynasty only. So I thought why I am playing online on PS2 and not just start on PS3? Don't ask me why I haven't before now. My question is when I logged on for the first time and accepted the user agreement and everything how come I haven't been asked to download the update? It hasn't had me download any patches or updates or anything. Am I missing something here on the NG?

Good question. I don't know. I wouldn't think so just because my first time logging into EA and I accepted the user agreement it sent me to the main screen where it says play now and other options. But maybe its possible that it automatically downloaded it when I booted up the game or something and didn't know it. Even still wouldn't there be a file save on my hard drive? I am confused. Up until now the only game I played online on my PS3 was MLB The Show 08.
