I would like to see what kind of defense everyone in this forums run and what is your philosiphy, are you aggressive, are you a bend don't break De?
I like to use a multiple DE when playing now - I really like the new DEs
1. I like to swich it up from the 4-3, to the 30 stack, 4-4 and some 4-2-5 as far as run DE.s
2. Against a spread offense I like to go with Nickel,Dime and 3-3-5, mixed in some 4-2-5 also,
3. I would like to say my philosiphy as far as Run De is aggressive, and against passing De is to blitz ( at least one rusher on a play ) and an occasional all out blitz, I will mix in some cover 2 max plays. Against an athletic Qb I think you should be aggresive with the blitz all the time and keep him on his toes. I tend to go with more of max plays against a tradional drop back passer, to see how he can handle the DE. Oh yes, I like to show different coverages, nothing wrong with going just cover 2, but to give different looks. I am not into many man coverages this year unless i playing with shut down corners.

Online and offline against human opponents I play aggressive defense. I want to make their offense as uncomfortable as possible. Against the cpu I tend to be more conservative. The cpu is very quick with it's decision making when attacking the blitz. This is especially the case on Heisman default. I've also noticed on AA with the cpu's offensive sliders maxed out it happens as well.

You are correct Bomber, the computer is smarter in this way, I noticed it throws to the spots you are blitzing from.

I did use the 3-4 into the 30 stack until the deep ball error popped up. The 30 stack for me trying to stop the deep ball has been uneffective.
Right now, I did have some success stopping the deep ball and run using a modified 4-4 zone blitz scheme. I did notice I was getting extreme pressure on the QB while keeping a double team on the outside WR's.
Still working on it though, will try it again tonight.

I was a bent but dont break guy, but changed, I cant stand to seat back and let someone just pick me apart.
Apply pressure right off the bat and let him know u came to play. Get him thinking the blitz is always coming and then every now and then dont blitz just run max cover and watch him throw the ball quickly in coverage.

AWN, ur telling me the 30 stack man version working againest ur deep passes>?
They aint no way, cause I did run the 30 stack one time on u , 3-4 Man cover 2 and u score on that play. U totally beat my best DB Macfadden.
I would like to play again though sometime, just to practice with you.

i play lots of zones and cover 2's until i find out what my opponent does in different situations. when i find out and pay the right defense i will start blitzing.

I use the str8 man version of the the crash 2 or 3, can't remember. Don't bump and run, and just ply man str8 up.... It works for me.... But then again I use Miami... But also manually blitz ur Left Lb... hopefully the other plyer will rotate into the over stacked blitz from his left...

What did u expect from a 99 or 97 spd receiver... if u get too close to either, it will b too late for u to adjust.... He just got out ran.. That's it, case close.....U have to respect speed on the field...

I like the cover 2 MLB spy....I mirror the QB with the MLB....and if he takes off I can big hit him....when the QB lobs his pass I just switch to the closest DB and either try a User Pick of a Big Hit. I generally stay in the 3-3-5 or 4-2-5.....man to man or some kind of zone blitz. I really like the DogZone Blitz outlined in the Filmroom....it can bring a LOT of pressure.....I also like to use the SS blitz.....It's good for option teams...
