OT game: Lost due to Celebration!!!!!

I can not believe it. I just sacked the QB to make it 4 and 25 and they were out of FG range and I guess I must have hit a celebration button. Stupid me was not watching since I was thinking about my next move on offense and I look up and the LB gets flagged for a stupid penalty for excessive celebration. Of course that gave them a first down and they went in to score and I lost.

This seems to happen too frequently to me. I do not knowingly hit the celebration button but I must have. If I could have caught it in time I could have pause it and that cuts off the celebration, but I was not watching closely enought due to what I said above(planning for my offense) BTW all I needed then was a FG to win the OT contest.


LOL.....................any other horror stories to top this one.......... I know it is only a game..................but it gets frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!! :mad: :rolleyes:

That happened to someone playing me once. It was like 3rd and 20 and I got sacked. My opponent celebrated and got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty giving me a 1st down.

When I was playing last night I was up like 14 nothing at the half and was well in control of the game. I got up to get something to drink real quick and accidentally pulled the controller out of the socket. It said I have been disconnected due to excessive controller pulling. It gave me a loss and bumped up my disc. %. I was pissed.

Just pause the game.. It will normally stop the celebration from going to far... Damn game!!! :mad:

WOW!!!!!!!!! That is worst than my bad luck. I have heard of other people that has happened to. EA programmed it if controller gets pulled YOU LOSE!!!

That sucks man.... sounds like the Bama - Ark game last season when Bama intercepted the ball in the endzone and got called for celebration.

i thnk it has something to do with the composure of the player (what year he is) and who you're playing against. however, that theory is untested. i'll have to play a few more games to tell you if that matters or not

Yeah I didn't even know something like that could happen. It killed my record. I should be 11-3 but that killed my ranking.
