How do you go about attacking mismatches on offense. Lets say they have one bad player like their middle linebacker. Do you run at him all day and pass off him until the games over?

passes, look for passing plays over the middle. however, if he is an inexperienced player, he proabably won't be on the field for dime defense and possibly not for nickel. i'd check the roster first. then, attack him over the middle. also, look to your back outta the backfield and circle routes

running at him will be a lil more complicated. look at your center first and see how he is. 9/10 in this game the center will go and block the MLB unless someone's lined up directly over him. basically though run right at him. sounds funny?? no run right up the gut outta ace normal or i form normal (this will give you a lead blocker for one of the other LB's

hope this helps

What I like to do against the weaker defenders is attack them with play action. I go through the LBs and safeties depth chart before the game and determine who has low awareness (and as a result, could be influenced by a PA fake). I then try to run plays off of play action fakes that get the ball to areas where the targeted defensive players might have vacated their zone responsibilities or missed an assigment in man coverage. Burn the D a couple of times doing this and the defense might start rolling its coverage or robbing the underneath zones with a safety to compensate, then you hit them with something else. ;)
