Hit me back in a few weeks when we lose to someone we shouldn't. That seems to be the theme for college football these days, I don't see any major conference teams going undefeated anymore with the parity. Just soaking it up while I can and hoping I can say the same thing again in January when it really counts!

Roll Tide to my Crimson VG brothers.....G-Fuel, Nibbs, MetalGuitarist and anyone else I missed.

ahhhhhh.. yess. does feel good to be relevant again. all is well in the world. bama ranked #1 more than likely. Auburn in official meltdown mode (predicted by myself while abum said i was drinking the koolaid) yo abum, tell me how my *** tastes.. if FSU is looking for a offensive coordiantor or head coach see if you can find Mike Shula since you thought so much of him. you ****ing idiot!!!

You guys might be getting a little ahead of yourselves. The possibility of Texas jumping over Bama is very real, especially with the rest of the Top 5 losing. Bama will get some votes, for sure, but I think you'll see burnt orange atop the polls this week. I'm definitely curious to see how far Okie St. shoots up after beating Mizzou.

Ultimately, I agree with Kaidog. No BCS team is going to finish undefeated this year, so it's all about picking the right week to lose.

Oh yeah, and despite his massive man-crush on Gamers, Nibs is actually an Iowa St. fan.

Most Bama fans didn't want to be #1 this week. They felt the team is way to young to handle that type of pressure. I think the team will feel slightly snubbed now...that is a good thing.

I havent checked, but can or will Texas still win the Big 12 Champ? If so, they might have an argument, but they lost to late in the year I think.

But Texas lost to a one loss TT team on the road who is in the top 10. UF lost to an unranked team at home and that alone should keep them out of the title hunt.

I don't know how the tie breaker works in the Big 12. If TT wins out there is no tie, but TT still has to beat Okie St. and the Sooners. Brutal schedule down the stretch. JMO, but I think a one loss Big 12 team deserves to be in the MNC over a one loss SEC team this year.

UF has a relatively easy schedule this year. Yeah it's the SEC, but I think everyone will agree that the SEC is down this year.

Well the SEC lacks experienced QBs...that has created a lot of bad offenses.

The Big 12 has a lot of experienced QBs and several Heisman candidates. That is making the offenses look great...but the defenses have sucked. I think a UF - Bama - even UGA would beat Texas , TT or Oklahoma...

in 2005 Bama D shutdown TT's last elite offense by allowing only 3 points thru 3 1/2 quarters. I think with a month off before a bowl game....it would happen again.

None of it matters if Texas Tech wins out and goes undefeated. But if there is a 3 way tie here is the procedure.

1. The records of the three teams will be compared against each other.

2. The records of the three teams will be compared within their division.

3. The records of the three teams will be compared against the next highest placed teams in their division in order of finish (fourth, fifth and sixth).

4. The records of the three teams will be compared against all common conference opponents.

5. The highest ranked team in the first Bowl Championship Series Poll following the completion of Big 12 regular season conference play shall be the representative.

The SEC Championship IS the national championship....It will be a war and I can't wait...

It will be a good game and hopefully a Gator coronation. If the Gators get past Vandy this weekend, I will book my flight to Atlanta and cash in some chips(favors from friends) for a ticket for the game. I was mad that I missed the 2006 SECCG but I did make it to Phoenix for MNC.
