I finally got my offense down and now I'm doing a pretty good job of moving the ball, but I give up WAY too many yards on defense. Most of the time, I get burned on mid to long range pass plays after runs. I have had some success at stopping the deep ball when I know it's coming, but I have trouble slowing down most offenses as a whole.

If anyone could help me out with some defensive strategy and what plays to call I'd appreciate it. I'd like to look into the 3-3-5, as I have not really used that yet but it looks like it could be ok.

If you're not familiar with it go into practice and try it out. I've been using it online against teams much superior to mine and my defense has held it's on. Most guys aren't used to seeing it and the 3-4 so you really can't clue in on who's blitzing and who's not. Experiment with the blitzes and zone blitzes. I like most of the defenses that involve the two strong safeties. I like to manually blitz them off the edge. Also with the two strong safeties I like to move them closer to the line of scrimmage creating an eight man front.
