I can't RC. Do I need to inorder to win Ranked?

I can't RC. Do I need to in-order to win Ranked games? I've tried, I've read the forums, watched the YouTube videos, watched and read the VG Products filmroom, and E-Books.

Can't do it, can't do it. :(

No , you don't need it , there are even some good tourney players that don't use it. Don't get me wrong , its a great weapon to have, but you can def win without it.

It's ironic that this is the first thread in the sim section....alot of sim guys are gonna call you a cheeser lol.

To answer you question though you don't need it. It opens up your O a lot though when you can get a free 15-30 yds anytime you see 1 on 1.

No, you don't need it to win. But like others have said it is a great weapon to have and you need to at least know how to stop it.

As far as it being SIM goes, I think it really depends on how you use it. If you are rocket catching curls and outs because you know you can catch it against 3 defenders in the area, then no, it isn't SIM. If you are rocket catching it because it would go out of bound otherwise, that's SIM to me.

To me, anything that you do because you know the AI won't cope well with it isn't SIM.

you don't need it to win, but it is a valuable tool to have when you need a score. Trust me, I can RC with the best of them, but what separates a top player from the contenders are two things....Stick skill and SCHEMES...work on a good scheme and you will see that even the best of the best will have a difficult time stopping you. As far as the RC goes sometimes your QB just is plain not accurate with a throw and it is an easy pic, but it is great to have as a last resort.

yeah but not with the 100% consistency that you get in madden. i mean, a really good player with great RC skills can make it happen every single time. that's just not realistic. and i think that's the problem sim players have with it. i think they feel like it shouldn't be happening every single time no matter what the defense does. now, part of it could be that they just can't stop it. so that's the counter-argument.

like anything, to me, sim players just don't want to see the same thing every single play.

ok everyone here it goes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if some one is rc in you curl the saftey have your cbs play man.! voilia, and i cant get them online 100% come to the crib tho!!!!!! my neighbor plays man on me and i cant rc streaks on it. sim players? tourney? people play madden, its a game to win, how can you be divided a players???? yall need to get off that sht! play to win who cares how you do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!

What I like to do is have some fades or streak for RC but I will also have one of my receivers running a curl route. If they play man then forget the fades or streaks cause it won't happen, but the RC curl route absolutely kills man! They always think they have it covered then I click on move him in front and snag that sh1t with an RC...This RC absolutely deflates the other player cause they know they don't have a shot after you complete this a couple times a game.

topdawg is right on the money about deflating the opponent. he did that RC curl stuff to me and it was lights out. you have to have REAL good stick skills to hit stick or bat that ball down. and it's a quick throw too, so it's real tough to stop. for guys like me. you might have stick skills. not saying you don't. but there's a reason dude is ranked in the top 5 online (yeah yeah, "rank is dumb" blah blah we hear that every week on these boards, got it. thanks.)

just saying. schemes and play calling are one thing. stopping RC is another. you need stick skills for it. that's all. sim or not.
