Who saw it? Thoughts? I really enjoyed it.
A buddy of mine that went with us just returned from Africa after a 4 month stay there. He stayed in a similar type slum (for about a week) like the one in the movie and he said it was life changing. The things these people have to endure are incomprehensible.

Might see it tonight.
Read an interesting article about it this morning, apparently folks in India aren't too impressed with it.

Great movie. The way they tie the story to relate his life to each answer of the show is brilliant. Definitely check it out if you can. Many scenes from the movie were shot right there where the Mumbai terror attack occured.

Just a guess, but I'm willing to bet they also didn't like when the lead character in the movie said : "If it wasn't for Ram or Allah, we'd still have a mother. "

good movie but it only focused on the poor india and not the 9% growth a year India. Whenever i go to india i see all these people begging for money and i only give money to the handicap.
i also didnt like the part where it had the hindus "attack" the muslims...
obviously its the muslims fault as they are mostly *******s

Well, the movie highlighted the forgotten millions that live in India's slums. Sure they could have focused on how wonderful Bombay is, but then they would have had a different plot altogether .
Also, I guess those "attacks" are common amongst the slums. Drinking, fighting, and even killing to overtake territory, women, etc. I know that's how it works in the African slums of Kenya as well.

the thing is that there has been turmoil since the muslims invaded india and forced people to convert to islam (if u didnt they would kill u or harm u)
then theres pakistan who kicked all of the hindus out of their new territory but the muslims never left india
then pakistan bombs india after 1 year of independence
then pakistan invades kashmir, an indian province...fighting ensues
muslims bomb india and send out terrorist attacks and have been doing so for the last 60 years

A newspaper burns in the sand, and the headlines say ‘Man destroys Man!’
Extra! Extra! Read all the bad news on the war for peace that everybody would lose
The rise and fall, the last great empire, the sound of the whole world caught on fire
The ruthless struggle, the desperate gamble
The game that left the whole world in shambles
The cheats, the lies, the alibis
And the foolish attempt to conquer the skies
Lost in space, and what is it worth, huh?
The president just forgot about Earth
Spending multi billions, and maybe even trillions
The cost of weapons ran into zillions
There’s gold in the street, and diamonds under feet
And the children in Africa don’t even eat
Flies on their faces, they’re living like mice
And the houses even make the ghetto look nice, Huh!
The water tastes funny, it’s forever too sunny
And they work all month and don’t make no money
A fight for power, a nuclear shower
And people shout out in the darkest hour
Of sights unseen and voices unheard
And finally the bomb gets the last word
Christians killed Muslims, and Germans killed Jews
And everybody’s bodies are used and abused, Huh!
Minds are poisoned and souls are polluted
Superiority complex is deep rooted
Leeches and lice’s, and people got prices
Egomaniacs control the self-righteous
Nothing is sacred and nothing is pure
So the revelation of death is our cure
Hitler and Caesar, Custer and Reagan
Napoleon, Castro, Mussolini and Begin
Ghengis Khan and the Shah of Iran
Mixed with the blood of the weaker man
The peoples in terror, the leaders made the error
And now they can’t even look in the mirror
‘Cause we gotta suffer while things get rougher
And that’s the reason why we got to get tougher
To learn from the past and work for the future
And don’t be a slave to no computer
‘Cause the Children of Man inherits the land
And the future of the world is in your hands
Aaight

I saw it when it was first in limited release and I really liked it. I'm not usually one for "love' stories....but this one was really good.

We passed on Slumdog last night and saw The Wrestler instead. While it wasn't quite as good as I expected, it was still really good. And Rourke was fantastic. He'd get my vote for best actor this year.

Just watched this streaming on my 360 last night. Great movie. I'd read all the reviews and hardly anyone had a negative thing to say about it. It was a really good story. The Wrestler was also very good (watched it at work last week). I'm going to watch Defiance sometime soon then catch Gran Turino.

islam is the scum of the earth
Quran 4:34: Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in their sleeping places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great.
Quran 9.29 "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day ... "

the religion of islam must be exposed or else terrorism will never stop

I had to download the movie first. Then I have a program that converts it to pretty much any format the 360 will read. I converted it to itunes files and streamed it like that. Watched Benjamin Buttons the same way.
