CRAP!!!
I can not beat my friend for S&^%$!!!!!!!! No matter what I can not execute. I talked with hobbs from this board extensivly. He enlightened me on the swarming D. And snce have used it. he has scored less or the score has been close. but I still can not pull it out. he always gets that extra score to win it. I am on a 4 game slide just to him. The last time won dont know how dd it but won 14-0. the last 4 have been:::
Tennessee Georgia Loss-20-28
Tennessee Georgia Loss-20-28
Tennessee Georgia Loss-7-10
Tennessee Georgia Loss-17-21
All he does is a pass to gibson run with qb or slant to where i blitz from. If I dont blitz I get picked apart or a QB scramble for close o a first down. if not a first down. Hell maybe i don't lab enough. i don't know. i am just frustrated as hell with this. I read this site every day. i spend money for the filmroom and playbook. and still he beats me with 5 plays.
Ok my rant is done. I know its just a video game. but you know we all spend alot of time here and it sucks to know you know more but yet you still get beat.

sounds to me like he is getting used to your style of play. My advice would be to TOTALLY change it up. Go to stunts and styles you have NEVER used. But control one or two guys to spy Gibson and the QB.....Sit back in the zone and run the 4-2-5 SS spy.....to control the QB's scrambling.....spy Gibson....HIT him EVERY PLAY....HARD. Use the 3-3-5 stunts.....Change up....if you have been running passive, sit-back style Defense then pick it up....and vice versa.....CHANGE IT UP....Good Luck

agree, completly change your philosphy. sounds like he knows what you are gonna do
you may want to consider bluffing thigs also if you guys are playing head to head on one screen
mix up your coverages. gibson is one of the best WR's in the game. i should know cause i like to use georgia too. greene is one of the most accurate qb's in the game (qb #15). if he's smart he's playin with him instead of shockley. if he's playin with shockley, spread your dline out and blitz a corner
it wouldn't hurt to use the 3-3-5 and manually control the outside lb and go to where the bltizing corner was.
are you playing with HFA on?? where are you playing at???

You sound alot like me last year vs THE PUPIL. Well, you can try a couple of things.
1. Play on EVEN TEAMS only. Heisman setting. Georgia is a superior team, even ur playing field.
2. Tell us what plays he is running on offense that is exploiting your defense.
3. Tell us what plays he is running on defense that is exploiting your offense.
If you can tell us something on the questions #2 and #3, maybe someone in here can help you.

I'm with DJ and blackpowdereer, yes I do use the swarming defense, but I said to change from man to zones, have different guys coming from different places, and others dropping into coverage in different ways, you have to make him not know where you are coming at him so he needs the extra time to recognize the coverage and blitzing taking place. I think by looking at the stats you have shut him down pretty well, I'm thinking stick skills and offense is your improvement areas. You completely shut down the run, made him 1 dimensional so it is pass only, if he is able to get that bomb off to a receiver and you don't control your DB properly then it won't be too difficult, as well as if he scrambles on you you really haven't contained him well enough, is he busting right up the gut or is he going outside, maybe it is a spread the lb's out to contain the outside and pinch the lineman in to stop the up the gut run, maybe switch up and control a different guy, if he is scrambling when controlling an LB go to an interior lineman for a couple of plays. You have to out think them that is why belichek is so successful, you never are quite sure what he is going to do so how can you defend it

Thanks to everyone who responded. And Hobbs I hope you did'nt think i was saying you told me wrong or what you said does not work. Because before you gave me the D tips he was blowing me out. now I keep him close I just can't seem to keep up in the score. And I think I have been a little predictable on D and O. I have practiced my O a lot lately and I am getting a lot more pass yards. just need some pionts on the board. I'll keep yall posted and i am always open to any tips.

No I didn't think you felt that way, just repeating some of the stuff we spoke about that may have been forgotten. If you are predictable he can figure you out
Keep it fresh buddy

here's another thought, change your playbook and keep your playcalling frame of mind the same. just a suggestion

thx guys I have thought of that. I beat him twice last week. One game 41-21 the other game 28-16. i needed to open up the passing game a little. I realised i was really using just a couple of plays that i was comfortable with. now I added a few more to throw him off and it has worked. he wants a new team now. so he is moving up to LSU. Ill keep ya posted.
