Please tell me how what mccain says doesn't make sense or is wrong because he seems to be right on the money. Good to see him back to his old form and no longer a puppet of the GOP

Everything was done wrong? Not one complaint?

Wrong.

The crux of the matter was that left wingers leveled some of the most ridiculous complaints against Bush...so, any meaningful complaint was lost in the murky haze of hatred that you guys spewed against Bush.

Furthermore, even if you disagreed with Bush on spending, I'm not sure how yo can embrace the spending that Obama is enacting...

One of the biggest mistakes the Bush Admin made with our money was to exclude the costs of the Iraq & Afghan war from the country's General Ledger. They treated those expenses like they didn't exist.

Where were Republicans in Congress when Bush was spending money like water? Oh wait, they were rubber stamping everything through. Congress is full of hypocrites, what else is new?

If there's one thing I'm sure of, it's that the partisanship in this country is so extreme, that nothing short of a national disaster or an attack on our soil is going to bring American politics back to operating for the good of the people.

Also, Nancy Pelosi is a *****.

I just wanted Pres. Bush to talk as if he was the most important person in our country and stop sounding like Bill & Ted w/Roget's Thesaurus when he opens his mouth.

I agree, the degree partisanship now involved in politics really is silly.
In order to bring things back to where they need to be, you would need to tell all politicians that there will be a fundraiser in the Hyatt.

Then.......nevermind.

But I don't know about Pelosi being a bunch of asterisks, that's just wrong man - low blow.

Seriously...I don't understand that argument here. Saying that Republicans spent money like it was water to justify what Obama and the Dems are doing is ludicrous. IF YOU DIDN'T LIKE BUSH'S SPENDING THEN YOU SHOULD BE AGAINST OBAMA'S SPENDING!!!

It's really that simple.

I think the problem is there weren't any socialism/big gov't/OMGZZZZZ LOOKS AT TEH GOV'T SPENDING MY MONEYZZZ threads during Bush's reign. Now Obama is here doing the same, and everyone that didn't have a word to say before is complaining now. I don't see too many guys actually defending Obama-I see guys pointing out hypocrisy.

the reason people didnt say anything about bush and his spending is that a majority of it was for a war and not stupid bloated government pork projects like a rail way from cali to vegas or saving some stupid mouse in san fransico...or how about tax rebate checks for people THAT DONT PAY ****ING TAXES.

my hindsight about bush....make iraq pay for their own goddamn war or atleast part of it with that huge surplus they have now that they dont have a dictator wasting all their money.

I'll say this, Obama has done more "reaching across the aisle" to try to get bipartisanship going (or nonpartisan if you prefer) during his 5 weeks as President than Bush ever did in 8 years. He's gone to Capitol Hill to meet with the GOP, he's invited them to the White House to talk to them, he's tried to include them in his Cabinet..... he has extended a hand to them to say "I'm more than willing to include you in the preocess and hear what you have to say" .... but for the most part the GOP just rejects him for some stupid, Rush Limbaugh-type of right wing "pride" (if they have any pride left).

Then you have these new "rising stars" of the GOP party (Jindal) coming on the air after Obama speaks the other night and he behaves like he has no f-in clue what's going on or that he even read the speech he was countering before writing his own. That counter-address by Jindal was an incredible insult to the intelligence of the American citizen. He sat there and tried to tell people that taxes for most people were going to be raised - that was a lie. He tried to tell people Louisiana rebuilt itself on it's own - that's a lie as well ($175 billion dollars in Federal aid contradicts what he tried to make the people believe).

But like i said, Obama has extended the hand - if the GOP doesn't want to extend theirs as well then sobeit, let the partisanship continue.

"Here what you have to say" never necessarily means "act upon what you are saying."

I mean...it is politics. And people don't earn this sort of ranking for being bi-partisan:

http://nj.nationaljournal.com/voteratings/

As far as Bush...the Medicare Act of 2003 or No Child Left Behind (two of the largest spending bills in the past 20 years besides these bailouts) are in no way fiscally conservative.

Thus, we passed the reigns of government from a fiscal conservative hypocrite (who was the farthest thing from a fiscal conservative) to a guy who thinks he can spend his way out our problems.

Making statements like cutting the deficit and making government spending more efficient are very noble goals, but it seems as if we're being talked to...while at the same time getting stabbed in the back (Stimulus+Geitner's additional Trillion dollars)...I won't make judgment, but constant criticism WILL keep this administration in check.

dsteve

and again, those spending bills sound like good ideas....medicare and education. Not what I would do myself but hey, thats why people didnt notice the spending.

the real story is this, there is only one political party and they both work together to cause chaos to attain there true goal. Call it what you what, free masons, ilumanati(sp) but im convinced it is very real and the only thing you can do is try to figure out whos their own man and not a puppet. Just dont stay deaf blind and dumb so you cant find your gun when the revolution starts...

"Hear what you have to say" never necessarily means "act upon what you are saying."

The point is that he's willing to listen and if the proposal makes sense to him he'd "act upon what they are saying". If not, he won't. But at least he has opened his door to them and extended his hand. Cooperation lies on the GOP at this point. They can try to come together in bipartisanship or they can decide to remain distant and divided. The ball is in their court.

The apple and the orange. Step back and look again. Obama has gone out of his way so far to engage the GOP in bipartisanship, including cabinet positions.

Liberal bobble head dolls, nodding in agreement, and can't recognize politics with Obama lovin' goggles on.

Yeah, lets' sign the biggest spending bills america has ever seen, triple the deficit in less than thirty days.

THEN

Hold an "anti-pork" summit to cover it all. Brilliant!

Just nod, NB, just nod.

awww, what's wrong Sup, Obama making your Satan prophecy look like crap? :D .. and how about that Jindal the other night? hahaha... what a train wreck THAT was. If he's the future of your party then I might recommend changing your voter registration to "non-affiliated" cuz that guy was a complete schmuckery in that rebuttal

I'm so tired of people proclaiming Obama's greatness by comparing him to Bush.

Bush was a bad president. Most everyone knows this.

Rate Obama on his own merits.

If you have to bring Bush into a conversation to support Obama... not the best logic in the world.

Oh no, no, no, he is a satan lovin' chump. Once he completely destroys the economy, you will become even more dependent on his "guidance", no? He has to destroy the finances first, THEN he will attack the social issues.

Puppets can't see these things however, because they love his pretty smile- and he "seems" so nice and gentle, right NB? Almost like a 60's hippie who can talk "real good". He is without a doubt your man crush. Be careful.

My stance has always been that he is an Anti-Christ, whether or not he is the Anti-Christ remains to be seen.

I bet if he starts stampin' foreheads though, you will be first in line.

You are blinded by the guy who is gonna take from others who earn it and give it to you. Nice way to live NB, real nice.
