My friend runs full house all the time to the outside on me. I have been using 3/4 over to try and stop it but he still gets good yards.

These are the plays I have tried
weak blitz
OLB dogs fire
DE contain( I thought that would be the money play for outside runs)
And different types of corner blitzes
I know that 3/4 is the way to go to stop the out side run because of the way its set up. Its driving me crazy trying to figure out how to stop this dude from running all over me.

Is there any type of zone plays that will help stop the run? My friend can read my plays pretty well and when he sees I am in man he goes deep and kills my coverage!

Well if you got nothin then you got nothing to lose right?Try this
Quarter under smoke
1.pinch and crash line
2.show fake blitz

you might want to control the the deep saftey. This is a sell out run stopping nano blitz. Its easy and i stole it from a top player after getting waxed by it in the run game.I use this against goaline. If you want another run stopper pm me.I got it out of an ebook so its not mine to post.

4-6 Cover 2

Im serious lol, back up your coverage and then bring in just your safetys. The Corners are back a bit and will kill the outside run

Good idea. You can also run commit to the side he is running to. This should blow up any outside run.

Sweet, I never thought that a Quarter D would be the way to go. I thought there was a play I was missing out on in 3/4 to stop the run but thanks.

That makes sense also, I used to use multiple D but I switched to 3/4 because I thought it would be better for pass protection. Besides the soild and the over have some good plays. I use stack a lot for my pass prtection it sometimes works and sometimes it dosent.

how do you do that to the side he is running on? down on the R3 joystick?

it works for anything outside run, doesn;t have to be 4-6 Cover 2, but thats the best I find, as long as the corners are back then they dont get pancaked lol, they are out there for the easy take down.

Yes, however, directly down will commit them straight down. So you need to angle it and commit to the side he is running the ball. If you commit straight down on an outside run, it will most definitely be a TD or a big gain.

you telling me this makes me sick!!! there should NEVER EVER be a quarter defense that stops any of my iform runs no matter the run i dont care if everyone is in the box or not. the quarter is a pass defense end of story and for ea to make it possible to run a quarter defense and be able to stop my run gm is a crock of ****..... DAMN it that pisses me off to no end if i see someone in a quarter or dollar or nickel 245 im running i dont care how many are in the box. thats bull... EA fix this garbage!!!!!!! AHrghhhhhhhh!!!!

I disagree. Ask yourself when was the last time you saw an NFL team run on 3rd and very long against a dime or prevent D and get more than a couple of yards. Now, when have you ever seen a team on 3rd and long try an outside run? Never that I can remember. "In reality" speed kills the outside run and I think having a nickel or dime shut down anything outside the tackles is a very realistic result. Up the gut is a different story and 5-7 yards is a reasonable (and realistic) expectation. That's my $0.02.

I am sorry to tell you.Its a video game though right? It is a good sell out run play.By showing blitz you pretty much get 8 in the box.The question was outside runs.Man defense does a good job on runs and the blitz angles on this play are solid.

Just a regular ole Cover 3 from most formations works well against outside runs. In addition, you can run commit to the side if you see it's going to be a pitch. Some of you guys are making this way too complicated.

pinch ur dline, crash them out, reblitz DTs
move ur LBs to the side of the run
put ur OLB on that side in a contain
put the MLB on that side between the DE and DT and blitz him

user the safety for user pursuit in case the rb goes somewhere else or he breaks tackles

hope this helps
