1) We've never had a free market, we have a restricted market that is somewhat free. There has always been regulations, and always will be. A free market doesn't have that.

2) This is probably just another ploy to make people feel better right now and it will fall by the wayside, just like closing Gitmo has or pulling out of Iraq quickly. Time will tell though.
