The Redskins have traded Matt Ryan to the Vikings in exchange for Kerry Collins. When asked why, Coach Skinsman said," Matt may as well go somewhere where he can be the starter. He was not going to get many reps with Peyton as our starting QB."
Good luck with him Tony. I hope he helps.

Thats kind of annoying to see a trade like that happen. Its like giving a good player a major piece he was missing for nothing. I appreciate you helping another member out but can we try to not execute trades like this.

Its really not that big of a deal fellas, Kerry Collins actually has a good arm , he just cant move for crap , I prefer a slightly mobile QB and Skinsman likes good pocket presence. We're both getting what we want. Besides , its not like Matt Ryan is leaps and bounds better than Collins.

Actually, it is a sprint because, as far as I know, you can't carry your team from one season to the next. I really hope you guys are not expecting that. This is not like the Online dynasty in NCAA '09. For the Madden Leagues you get one season then start all over again. I do not know of any continuation for the Madden leagues. As I have said before, it is not a true franchise league. If it were, I probably would have asked for a draft pick in addition to Collins. But in a one season race to the finish, with me not using Ryan anyway, I figured I would give him to someone who could use him. That was the same mentality I used when I traded Barber to Vegas Cowboy for Slaton since I have Turner and Gore in front of him.
Also, if I was any good at this game, I would think more about this stuff :D

We are gonig to try everything in our power so that we can have the same team the following season. I understand what you are saying about not having a true online franchise, but we can start a new league and assign the players via trades so that each of us have the same team we ended with the year prior. I only see us maybe getting this season in and maybe one more anyway before 2010 comes out. When 2010 comes out, we can have a true online franchise ....that will be fun
Check out the thread that Lokko created called "Are we redrafting after every seasson???"

Yeah, that's true. You can do it that way. I honestly was not thinking that way and even if I was, Peyton would not have aged any, nor would Collins for that matter.
Show, have you heard anything that Madden 10 will have a true online franchise? That would be awesome if it did, with a Draft, free agents, mini-camps, etc. Just like the good old days.
Look guys, for those who don't know me well, I do not take this game that seriously. If there is someone on my team you want, I will always listen to trade talks and if I do not need the guy, I will trade him to you so long as the trade falls within the parameters set up by the league. By the way, Ryan's OVR was an 89 and Collins was an 86 so it could not have been that bad of a deal. If I had some glaring need on my team, I would have gotten more creative. But my team is actually pretty solid.
Its their owner who is not :(

Honestly, I would be willing to trade any of my RBs for Steven Jackson. I am not thrilled with either Turner, or Gore or Slayton. I had Jackson in my last fantasy league and I liked him a lot. Propose a trade Loko and I'll work something with you.

Yes but only for an elite corner, you can give me newman back if you want him.

Heck no! Newman is working out fine. We found out if you move trouble makers from your team the questanable guys fall into line.

Defense wins championships, but offense wins games and you could scrape away with a few W's if you get T.O. He will be a bigger game changer than newman. Only reason im trading him is because i have so many playmakers at WR I can afford to deal him and help out the D and still maintain my high octane O.

i still can't believe you traded a 97 speed cb for and 88 speed safety... you prolly coulda traded TO for Dawk.
anyways you can have any of my not in use CBs if you really need one, i think i have 2 that are in the 80's idk.

This was a stand up move, it shows Crym Time is growing up and being a man of his word.

As much as I probably need TO, I probably should not give up Asante. I am not sure if I have the depth in the secondary to make that move. But, seeing as how I am not going to make the playoffs anyway, if you really think he would help you, I would probably try and help you out. Just remember this the next time you are up on me by 30 points in the 4th quarter, LOL.
You are definitely right that Edwards (or for that matter Bowe) are not going to get it done.
Loko, I did not see the trade when I looked but that may be because Booker reset the league. I can still do Slayton for Jackson if you like.

I think asante for TO is a good trade for him considering asante has no INT's and is barley contributing for him. TO will probably help him because he needs more offensive fire power. TO has that ability to change a game that Samuels just doesnt have so he's not ruining his team he's helping his team alot by making a move for a Gamebreaker on O.
Its not like I'm giving him pac man jones for asante, He's getting one of the best WR's in the NFL. T.O. for Asante is a VERY fair trade on both ends, he needs an explosive player on O who can put up points on any given play and I need a shutdown corner on D that will make more plays through out the course of a game.

This is a fair trade, but its up to the player's involved.

No, I would be willing to do Asante for TO. Its not ruining my team. Cryme is right, Adrian Wilson and Ike Taylor are doing it all for me in the secondary. The strength of my D is with the LBs and DL anyway.
