why say that?

To me they seem to report the News with an agenda and they are always attacking other News channels.

They have very subjective views; to the point of being extremely personal...

I dont know, maybe its me, but I thought their job was to report the news not be part of the story.....

You are clearly biased if you are calling out Fox News for having an agenda without making mention of any other news source. Foxnews is often pitted against the other channels because they are perceived to have a conservative tilt when ALL the other major news outlets skew liberal.

I mean cmon man......the New York Times is ten times more partisan then Fox News. The fact that you people automatcially disregard content from FN is a joke. They are a network news program, and are as reliable as any other.

What was subjective about them reporting a man shooting Military recruiters?

Were they supposed to call him a "freedom fighter" and failed to do it? Is that what has got you all bent?

No son, you labeled faithfull Christians as "right wing nutters." Why don't you have the guts to say the same about faithful Muslims?

I know, I know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they arent the base but the ACLU and the radical left sure loves to defend them at every turn while attacking christians. the hate for christians all has to do with being able to over ride the founding documents and our rights endowed to us by our "creator".

If Muslims were the Liberal Base you would have had some sort of point. :)

And jsut for the record, this killer said that his reasoning for murder was based on what the U.S. military is doing to Muslim prisoners.

Who purports that sort of anti- military hate, but you and your left wingers at NBC news?

Yeah, man up coward.

I think this guy used the Muslim thing to justify something he wanted to do. Not because of religious conviction, but just because it was the easiest excuse. I mean, if you're gonna do something like this, there's plenty of other reasons to attack the military than what we're doing to musilims. Just another nutjob handed the tools of religion.

See, there you go again with the mindless soundbytes (faux news) without any understanding of the issue you are talking about.

Note, that I was not disagreeing with you that Foxnews skews conservative (although FAR less then you imply while citing no objective evidence); I was simply pointing out:

1. They are still a major news network and have the requisite accountability for stories they run. Hence your immediate dismissing of anything from that network is completely ignorant and a result of the mainstream media indoctrination of average Americans. (ie: if you hear it enough, if MUST be true right?) If anything, the increased scrutiny they are under leads to MORE accuracy in their reporting as they know they will be challenged at every turn.

2. They are under attack by the other networks because they are seen as a threat to the overwhelming mainstream liberal bias. Everyone is so used to major media outlets being in the liberal tank that when they find one that isn't, it is instant attack-mode.

3. You are either intellectually dishonest or hopelessly ignorant in claiming Foxnews is biased while failing to acknowledge the obvious liberal bias of much more influential media outlets such as the New York Times, CNN, and NBC. The New York Times wrote the book on bias in journalism, going as far as to bury a negative story on Obama the day before the election.

4. It is extremely hypocritical (let alone innaccurate) to claim foxnews is "spewing hate" and fail to acknowledge the actual hate being spewed by Keith Olberman, Michael Moore, etc.

The reason Fox News is so neo-con is business. Their owner is a ridiculous money-hound and would put the death of his own mother on television if he could get high enough ratings. The anchors are so dramatic because thats what people want to watch. Think about it. If you watch debates and completely agree with someone, it's not that interesting. So, they put on the most polarizing people they have to get a reaction. You think Glenn Beck is on because of his marvelous skills as a journalist? Of course not, but he can cry on cue and has the ability to grossly overstate or understate an issue. It's money.

You mean they hire the overdramatics like Beck from CNN? Or Tucker Carlson from MSNBC?

It is comical that liberals can't see "real drama" wiht the likes of Olbermann, or guests like Garafelo who calls conservatives racists.

You don't watch FOX enough. You listen to Olbermann paint Oreily as the "real killer" of Tiller.

Bottom line: NBC is in Obama's tank and will smear and hate at the drop of a hat. FOX has a conservative lean when it comes to Hannity/Oreilly (who is more moderate), but the NEWS is reported fair and balanced. A FAR CRY from ANY news at NBC/MSNBC.

If you can't see that reality you are a bobble head.

All the news Orgs are owned by the same people. TV news is nothing but created drama these days to get ratings. That and keeping the US population as misinformed as possible.

1) Yes. Did you forget that Olbermann actually worked for Fox at one point? People that aren't animated enough tend to have short careers at Fox.
2)The news itself can't be biased. But when the news anchors start pulling things apart and inserting whatever else into the story it becomes opinion, not fact.
3)The fact that you identify yourself with a NEWS CHANNEL is proof enough that you could care less about reality, and would just like to be held over by people that tell you what you want to hear.

And no, the news channels aren't owned by the same people, Fox is owned by Rupert Murdoch, CNN is/was owned by Ted Turner. News has become entertainment. The fact that you guys argue about CNN/MSNBC/FOX, is exactly the thing that you guys complain about.

ESPN is the closest I get, I stopped watching when they had nothing other then kidnapped blonde girls to talk about. You can find out anything online anyways and can usually look at enough places to verify the truth or not.

Know what I do?

Watch the network you disagree with. It makes you stronger imo. Therefore, I only watch Olbermann and Maddow.

Get the side that you disagree with (in this case MSNBC) and conclude with your own rationale, not the rationale of a talking head who is paid to spew propaganda at you.

This is what is wrong with us. We stick to our bases without ever hearing about conflicting vantage. Therefore, it becomes to impossible to critique our own beliefs once they have been solidified by bias on a network like CBS, NBC, FOX, etc.

Read the story, but draw your own interpretations. But above all, always be knowledgable to different interpretations using reason and NOT emotion. If we did this, there'd be a hell of a lot less ignorant, fanatical people out there.
