Been watching it since last season. Eric is mainstreaming, trippin me out.
Lafayette bout to get a visit from Eric, lol. "You cant come in unless i invite you!"
Real Talk, Eric's vampire assistant, I'd be knocking her back out every night.
I think Jason Stackhouse about to go balls deep in the rev's wife.
Tara, black chocolate sweet thang......I cant get enough of it.
WTF is that demon thing that ripped Sookie in half. Daffy bout to expose the bar owner.

Yea I think Lafayette is in trouble. And Jason is def gonna get w/the evangelist lady.
Tara is going to have some trouble from the cougar lady who throws the sex parties.
My wife reads the books and she says that they kinda follow but then kinda don't. She said that in the books that thing is called a Maynad or something like that. It feeds on people's bad energy and they have to sacrifice people to it or something.

i thought the bytch was a succubus. Eric is concerned about it though, cause it is an unknown. I wonder how that Dallas trip is going to turn out though, and what happened to other sheriff.
Im thinking Eric wants to holla at Lafayette over Stackhouse and where he is, and to keep his mouth shut.

Yea could be. You're talking about the lady who makes everyone bone each other. as the succubus - lol...
You think she is the same creature that slashed sookie's back?
I thought it they were 2 diff things because she was at the party when sookie got slashed.
Either way that show is wild. Wife said in the books there is a werewolf, and last night someone made mention of a werewolf.
Sh1!t is crazy.

Gotcha, and everybody knows that werewolves and vampires do not get along. Sam said it himself that werewolves do exist and they are not very nice.

I forget why old boy turns into a dog sometimes. I remember that came out early in the show, but I forget why.
Lafayette is hilarious, especially when he was the cook and came out the kitchen and told those customers off ...
Did you all know Sookie won an Oscar at age 11?
Great show. Just pushing the limits. Keep an eye out this season for a "Press conference" type of scene. They shot this at my old hotel here in LA ...

What I have been wondering all along is how long until we are introduced to the head vampire (the hot blonde from the TV debates). There was a reference to her when we first met Eric in season one. Something about how no one was sabove the law, not even "her".
And what is the story with the cougar lady. Does she generate her power from sexual energy or something? is that why the people's eyes are turning black at the party? What is the significance of the boar? (remember she was walking it naked when tara crashed her car.)

Not sure about the cougar, but she definitely gets a party goin.
I think the boar is a shape shifter, but I don't know who it would be.
Remember when she told Sam, "I can do that to you whenever I want."
and he turned into his dog self.

Dang this thread got to page two before I noticed it. I love this show. Havn't missed an episode yet. That horned thing either is or has something to do with Maryanne(cougar lady) I believe. I'm glad the show is moving away from the direction the books went. I don't like knowing things before they happen. It sucks it won't be back on until July 12th, but atleast it will be back on the same night as Entourage. Those two shows were my favorite lineup last season.

I think courgar lady (Mary Ann) might be that creature that attacked Sookie. She doesnt like Sookie since Tara mentioned moving in with her. I know last season when she was outside on the lawn shimmering, the very next scene showed Renee in his truck with the song on the radio "She's a Devil in Disguise"....coincidence I think not. She also had the power to make Sam revert to dog form.
Eric really wants Lafayette's ***, he feels he has escaped justice. Oh yea Jason gonna hit the preacher's wife. I found it funny how old dude probably was BMOC until Jason showed up and now he is hating Jason big time.

Yes sir.
It was in New Zealand in 1991 that Paquin became an actress by chance. Director Jane Campion was looking for a little girl to play a key role in The Piano, set to film in New Zealand, and a newspaper advertisement was run announcing an open audition. Paquin's sister read the ad and went to try out with a friend; Paquin herself tagged along because she had nothing better to do. When Campion met Paquin—whose only acting experience had been as a skunk in a school play—she was very impressed with the nine-year-old's performance of the monologue about Flora's father, and she was chosen from among the 5000 candidates.
When The Piano was released in 1993 it was lauded by critics, won prizes at a number of film festivals, and eventually became a popular movie among a wide audience. Paquin's debut performance in the film earned her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the age of eleven, making her the second-youngest Oscar winner in history after Tatum O'Neal.

Noone. But I still think the cougar lady, and the man-bear-pig-bull thing are 2diff people. In the books there are a few creatures that havent been introduced yet, but they are working their way to.
The whole Dallas scene hasnt even been started.
Although the storyline in the books doesn't exactly follow the series, the characters are all there. So I expect to see more creatures emerge in Bon Temps.

The person Sookie is being sent to find is a vampire Sherriff in Dallas that is missing. (eric is the sheriff of the Bon Temp area)
They thought Lafayette may have some info because he was selling V and in fact had email conversations with a Dallas V Dealer.. remember.. pu$$ylover@yahoo.com or soemthing lmao..
In the books, the older the vampire the more important they are. Eric was a viking but this person is older and stronger and more important. Which is why its so important that they find out what happened to him

You know, I thought the same thing. When Lafgayette was trying to convince him to turn him into a vampire Eric seemed kinda taken back by what he was saying....and said, "Interesting."
Then they took me off of that angle when they show the exchange of:

Here's a little something that explains it better...
Maenad.
Keep in mind that the books dont exactly follow the show and they tend to rewrite things, but the overall story and characters are the same.
If True Blood follows the book a maenad is a creature that requires offerings (or tributes) from other supernatural creatures who serve alcohol. If they’re not properly honored they tend to get angry and cause madness in people (supernatural and human) or even kill them. In the book the maenad attacks Sookie as a way of sending a message to Eric, the owner of Fangtasia (a bar that serves alcohol). This is the maenad’s way of telling Eric that he has to pay her a tribute. Eric knows all too well how vicious a maenad can be - several years earlier he’d experienced a maenad who caused madness in a vampire. The vampire went on a crazed rampage and eventually had to be staked.
In the books, the maenad travels with a large hog. Sound familiar? Yes, we’ve seen Maryann Forrester with a hog more than once in True Blood Season 1.
“What’s she gonna do if you don’t pay her tribute?” Sookie asked.
“Send her madness.” Bill sounded worried.
“Into the bar? Merlotte’s?”
The vampires eyed one another.
“Or into one of us. It has happened. The Halloween massacre of 1876, in St. Petersburg.”
They all nodded solemnly.
“I was there,” Eric said. “It took twenty of us to clean up. And we had to stake Gregory, it took all of us to do that. The maenad, Phryne, received tribute after that, you can be sure.”

You gotta remember Lafgayette said he was an hustler and Im sure when he asked to be turned, he was saying anything that might preserve his life. Apparently when they chowed down on him, no blood was given to him because of the gaping wound from the gunshot not being healed.
Vampire justice, I think Eric is not satisfied so thats why he still is after Laf.
Did the dog purposely lead Sam to the Lake? The dog calmly backed away once they got there and the new waitress appears?

Finding out what exactly Maryanne is and what she can do is supposed to the big mystery of season 2. Just like season 1 and The killer, we didn't find out who it was until the second to last episode. So I wouldn't expect them to reveal everything about Maryanne until the last few episodes this season.

Yep. So far, it seems that that one was all the time they knew each other. But when they meet up again at the end of season 1 it seemed like there was more to it then that. She doesn't seem to care about the money Sam stole. Maybe she wants power over him cuz he is a shapeshifter.

Possibly. In the books Elvis is a vampire. It comes out that he was turned into a Vampire a little after he was already dead so when he transformed he's a little mentally retarded or something.
Oh yea, and its a rule amongst the vamps that you can't call him Elvis.

She is Bill's maker. They showed her in season one during Bill's flash back.
How about Erics flashback?
Could he be Eric the Red?
I didn't think about that. I know he was a Viking. I thought Eric was badass as a human.

Eric is very old. Godrick is even older.

lol, yea its also getting to me.
But you've noticed that they've kept all Vampires out of the same scenes as the Mary Anne plot. They're bound to cross paths soon. Before they went to Dallas, they went looking for whatever slashed sookie's back, but didn't find anything. They only know it was part animal.
But Eric knows what a Maenad can do, he just doesn't know that's what he's up against yet.
Jason hugs Bill

Godrick is an old soul (literally) and would like peaceful harmony between the humans. I hope the bomb doesnt kill him, they cant get rid of a great character and one who is so powerful. I would think he'd have to battle Mayanne, how can she infect vampires, is this from the book?
Tara and Eggs chowing down on the heart was cracking me up, the wife had to leave the room lol.
Also Lay needs to lay off all the makeup he wasnt flaming that bad in the beginning. :(

Good points. I forgot how she's mooching in sookie's house right now. lol.
In the books, Eric is a little afraid of the Maenad because she can send her insanity powers into Vampires making them nearly impossible to control because of the strength they then posess.
The only way to make them go away is to appease them with a gift or sacrifice of some sort.
Remember in the trailer when Mary Ann storms into the bar and says something like...

She can in the books.
In fact if she can't control Vampires the last 3 episodes will be pretty dumb because they'll just go over there and hack her up and roll out. End Scene.
Basically, there has to be some kind of reason why all the vampires just can't go kill her or else there would be no reason to drag out a big fight.

Evan Rachel Wood was AWFUL! Her acting was a big let down. It wasn't believable at all. Almost like she was on 90210 or something.
Still trying to piece together the Tara and her exorcism + Maryanne.
Maryanne said that she was summoned by the exorcism Tara had, despite the witch lady being a fake, she was playing with some serious magic.
I get that part, but what was the signifance of the little girl w/black eyes?
Eric can fly, so that was cool.
When Sookie screams, I wonder if Eric and Bill with BOTH rush over to the house. I think Bill is setting something up with Sam as a fake sacrifice - as a trick to kill Maryanne. Even though they showed Bill offering Sam up for death, its never what you think it is.

Like Bill Walton would say ERW was HORRIBLE, who is this Queen chick in the books, was she older than Godrick? She definitely pimped Bill made him stay overnight and forced him to feed.
So during the fake exorcism of Tara it was enough chanting involved that it drew Maryanne to the town. Could the litle girl w/black eyes had been Maryanne as an illusion, Im reaching?
I wonder could the vampires fly on this show because on an old show I use to watch Forever Knight cop vampire, he used to fly. Judging how Bill appeared in front of Sam with a thud lead me to believe he had just landed.

I believe someone said "different vampires have different powers" in one episode. I think it was Bill talking to sookie. IIRC she asked him could he fly and he said no but some can.

I dont know, in the books, Tara, Lafayette arent even major characters.
Lafayette actually dies in the 1st few chapters of book 2. They keep the overall jist but the intricate details are rewritten.
Godric isn't really important in the books either. And remember when Bill saved Sookie when she mind read that the bartender was stealing money? In the books Eric saves her and kills the bartender (native american) vamp.
There is no Maryanne in the book. The Maenad creature in the book doesn't really do much and Eric does know all about them. (Unless he's lying on Trueblood) he claimed he wasn't familiar with Maenads.

Got wayyyyyyy outta hand. In the books, the Maenad (Callysto) isn't even a big character and shes just a sidebar.
$h1t was tight when it was Vampires vs the fellowship, and vamp vs vamp, they went overboard. Oh well. Time for the fall shows.
Sons of Anarchy. Best show on TV.

Overall I thought it was a good season, but season 1 was defenatly better. It was more focused with its storyline. It was like a season long murder mystery which I liked. Season 2 seemed like it was all over the place. I hope they narrow the scope a bit for season three. If they add another mystical creature into the mix it needs to be a dang warewolf already.

That crap was WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAK! Worst Season Finale ever in life.
I concur it started strong but the last few episodes looked like it was going to be a letdown. So Sokie is not entirely human amd Im guessing either Eric hired someone to kidnap Bill or he did it himself.
Jason shoots Eggs in the head, so he will freak out about that all next season until he confesses. Eggs was acting ill anyway guess they had to lose him, terrible ending, good season. I belive we see werewolves next season.
Time for Smallville I believe should be final season they pushing it to far, Crash comes back and Heroes. I mite try Sons of Anarchy again I fell off after 2 episodes last season. Tryin vamp diaries seems kinda twilightish though

So true, I can see it now. Sookie will eventually tell Tara she let Eggs know what happened which led to his death. Of course Tara will freak out turn into a dragon and Sookie will have to use her powers of goodness to make Tara chill out. Eric offers to help Sookie find Bill though reluctant she agrees and eventually a romance sprouts between the two. Towards the end of the season we'll see Eric vs Bill.
Don't think I can deal with a season of that.

My wife surprised me with these on yesterday...lmao Yes it the "official" drink from the show and its the exact bottles they use. It taste like Orange Crush with a hint of nutrasweet. Not too bad actually. The liquid as a "blood-orange" color.

TrueBlood and Entourage are my shows. I don't know what I'm going to watch until next summer. I think Bored to Death has some potential. Ted Danson is funny as hell and the guy from The Hangover is pretty good to.

I just started watching this. Got S1Ep1-2 from Netflix. I'm not going to read this thread because I'm sure someone has said something that isn't a spoiler for anyone but me. But Anna Paquin = :p zombbqg
