Its random when it happens.But it happens a lot more when u hit them as their about to hit u.

The step jab has the best chance of doing it. It needs to hit as your opponent is attacking - making it land as a counter-hit. Tap the L-stick forward and hit SQUARE.

Learn to counter transitions. Go into practice mode and have the cpu go for transitions, then try to counter them. The counter is done by flicking the R-stick just after they go for the transition. For example, they try to pass your guard - flick before they put their hands on you and you'll flip him over.

thanks i will try that thanks. and my friend makes me mad cuz way he fight he will go toe to toe but he always backs up so i have to get closer and it pissed me off so bad that i nicknamed him crawlfish cuz the way he fight's any tips would be great to how to beat his style of play

i hnadled the youngsters by going sim on em

when someone jabs at your face tackle them and start the ground and pound as soon as they resist hold them down and stay in control, if they get on top do 1/4 turn 'fireball' motions to the stick to flip them back into position and then use your 1 hand to hit the stomach to free a shot to the head then use the correct arm to drive down the butt of the elbow for a bloody brutal pounding lol...

Best way to handle him is to counter his punches or kicks when he gets close. Once you do that take him to the ground and control the fight from there.

If you play as a wrestler type, counter his punches, then slam him. Once that happens, get back up rinse and repeat until he changes his strategy or until his stamina is low, then go for the submission.
