Kudos to Bill for making the effort and getting the girls.
However, I am not happy that we have once again conditioned N. Korea to think that it can extract political concessions by acting badly.

What political concessions did they get?

They got a meeting with a former U.S. President because of their actions, which sort of legitimizes them. Glad the girls are ok, though.

We don't know what was said, though. Billy is great with the public and handling his own persona, but he can be abrasive in private meetings. I'm thinkin it went something like Team America World Police. and I don't think it legitimizes them. Hell, you and I could get a meeting with an ex-president. I wonder how Hillary felt about them all coming home in the same airplane, lol.

I wonder if Clinton not smiling in any of the photos was politically motivated.

Yeah, it's an asian thing. Seriously, they don't really smile while taking pictures with foreign diplomats, because, a lot of asian cultures, especially Japan, look at it as separating business from pleasure, so to speak. Plus, would you really wanna smile after talking to that tool for a while?

I wonder if Bill asked him how he put his shirts on in the morning with that melon sittin on top of his shoulders. He got to have the strongest neck in North Korea, hands down.

I think it went like this:
Bill, "Ok, we can be civil and you can deal with me .......or we can get nasty and you'll have to deal with my wife"
Kim, "The girls will be ready and your plane re-fueled in one hour. Care for some fish and rice Mr. Clinton?"

It's ironic that he was pissed at Carter for going over there to quell tensions. I remembered being stationed there in South Korea and hearing all the War Hawks saying bomb the North now Bill, we should bomb them now! I was like WTF, my wife and kids are here and in the Pacific Stars and Stripes newspapers, there were editorials from Vets of the first Korean War and they were saying talk to these guys until you are blue in the face, you really don't want another Korean War.
LOL, I guess it takes a former Democrat Prez to get things done for a sitting Dem Prez. I wonder what trips Bush would be good for Obama? Oh I know. There was one continent that liked the former G dubya, Africa, ironic again, Obama could send Bush there, LOL!
CLinton back on, er-hem, .............. on top. :p

I never said it was a concession. I said it gives them some legitimacy.

Well it was done without a member of the actual GOv attending. It is a great moment for Clinton though.

Then go back and read your own post dude. You said they act stupid like this and get concessions for it.
EDIT: Sideout said it and you were answering for him.
