When are invites going out?
and can we please turn off accelerated clock and fumble game for franchise?
6 minute quarters worked just fine last season, with a normal clock.
Now every game is 7-3, ****ing lame ****. I had the ball for 4 minutes one game...

i hear you. don't compare this to your online ranked games though, and EA is gonna change that to 7 minutes anyway.
now, the default for online franchise is set at 10 minutes with 15 second accelerated clock. I think 7 or 8 minutes will be good enough. still have time to discuss.

i dont see why we would use accelerated clock. i mean:
1) we know everyone here, no need to worry about guys doing stupid BS, and if they do...
2) if too much shifting/auduibles is an issue, we can make a rule against it
accelerated clock really has no benefits other then preventing multiple changes at the line. its much easier to manage the game/clock when when there is no run off an you know exactly what your working with instead of saying
"ok there are 7 minutes left, so i assume ill run 9 plays this drive so i need to multiply 9 x the 15 second run off which is 135 seconds, ok divide that by 60 which is 2 minutes and 15 seconds now subtract that from seven and there is now really 4 minutes and 45 seconds left... oh wait crap i forgot it doesnt runoff after timeouts..... AHHHHHHHHH"
i think you get the point. it also can lead to a situation where people are milking clock without knowing or can milk clock and blame it on the run off, etc.
i just think its a mess, brings nothing to the table, and causes issues.

I also think we need to decide whether we want the league to be Sim based, Semi-Sim or just flat out freestyle. It is easier to come up with a good set of rules if you know up front what sorts of playing styles are allowed.
Personally, I like Semi-Sim, which basically just means you have to mix up your play-calling, not exploit any glitches, not blitz every down, etc. Things like that.

I've been playing online and people have been wildcatting the crap out of me, and that is because I haven't learned to adapt very well yet. It's not their fault if they run it 8 times in a row against me. It's my fault for not stopping it.

Well usually similar to the one I use, (not gonna give it away if we play) but it's usually with a 95+ speed player. If it reaches the outside with even one or two blockers its over, for me and whoever I use it against.
I still have some things to try on defense, but still thats my problem...but people always feel like making up rules so they don't get ripped as much.

i havent seen anyone be able to get outside. once i see wildcat i put all 4 DBs in the flats, 2 on each side. since i know there is only 1 pass, and if they throw it its gonna be ugly

Well theres lots of different wildcat formations with diff play types. Some can go quick left, quick right, and up the gut with no wasted seconds doing fake handoffs. 98 spd and 98 accel will kill you. better than fb dive for short yardage.
And when they get up up the gut a few times it's instinct to put in more lb's and then your toasted on the outside. Some wildcat formations aren't very good either...maybe you went against those?

outside isnt really an option since i have a safety and CB both lined up outside the hashmarks pre snap. then i have the front 7 bunched up inside. if they go inside sometimes its 5 yards, but usually more like 3 or so.
outside i have my safety and CB waiting, doesnt matter on the HB's speed since i dont need to beat him outside, im already there.

Then you will find out what I'm talking about if we play and I'm using that pb.
