So I created a test league to check some things with this draft timer specifically, and it looks like the options for the pick by pick timer are:
15,30,45,60 seconds between picks.
You have to choose this and it takes effect for the entire round. If you change the timer in the middle of the round (by pausing the draft and resuming it) the change will only take effect at the start of the next round.
I found that 15 seconds was WAAY too fast. 30 seconds may be ok for the first round where you know the best player you want to pick, and 45 seconds may be good for the next couple rounds, but I believe 60 seconds is a must for anything past the 3rd or 4th rounds. It just takes a long time to sort through all the player lists and figure out what you want. You really have to go in with a draft strategy and even then, 45 or 60 seconds FLIES by.
Also, it looks like the draft snakes, just like fantasy football. So if you have a top pick in the first, man, you are waiting a loooong time.
However, the CPU makes its picks VERY fast. within like 3-6 seconds. So people that pre-rank and let the CPU build their team won't be holding us up no matter how long we set the draft timer to.
ok fellas. let's discuss. I recommend going for 45 or 60 seconds for the draft timer. otherwise it's just ungodly fast. I can't barely make up my mind about the position I want to draft in 30 seconds let alone choose the player! haha.. what say you all?
