Something tells me we're going to get to vote on a lot of this stuff by the time it's all said and done....

looks good to me. I would just add the limiting of screen passes (7) and HB direct (3).

When, all this should of happened last week?

These kinda things should be decided in advance not a few days before the draft.

How long after the draft until we kick off the season? With two hour draft sessions we may be drafting next week still for our starters.

i just want the league to run well and last long. franchise leagues dont work if you dont play multiple seasons.

again these are proposed rules... the ones DJK had were from leagues, those are ones we used from franchises. we have used them for like 5 years. they work.... i think we should consider some/all of them.

the thing with that is it becomes hard to enforce. i have always been a fan of either allowing it, or banning it. if you limit it you are basically saying:

"i know its crap so you can only run it a few times"

well if its crap ban it. if its not, allow it. if its in between allow it but encourage people not to use it. HB direct, hell just get rid of it. its 1 play, people can figure out other ways to run the ball.

screens... i havent had an issue with them... once you see it develop click on to the DE and run over and break it up. then again ihavent played 09/10 as much as you so maybe some are glitchy.

bottom line, with individual plays i think you need to ban or allow. you can really enforce limits, people will break them, and it gets messy

Yeah screens are not too overpowering. I have faced a HB direct, screen pass, reg pass, scammer who was hard to stop. He had a nice little setup and if it wasn't for my defensive stick I wouldn't be able to stop him. Indecline faced a similar guy and was pretty pissed. I doubt we see this in this league but without rules it does allow it.

I do agree that limiting plays leaves a gray area and it's better to just to ban them, but putting a limit on them does raise a little self awareness even if it isn't completely enforced.

i see what you are saying about self awareness... that makes sense. and i guess an unenforced rule is kinda the same as "encouraging" people not to do it...

although if the limit is like 3 (you proposed for HB direct) you may as well ban that. cause someone is just gonna save it for a key situation and the game will be won/loss on BS... so just ban something liek that

if the limit is high, like 7 or 8 for screens... that makes more sense to keep and limit.
