I believe the prevailing options for putting up for a vote are these:
- All-Madden, 8 minute quarters, Accelerated Clock On
- All-Madden, 7 minute quarters, Accelerated Clock On
- All-Madden, 6 minute quarters, Accelerated Clock Off
- All-Madden, 5 minute quarters, Accelerated Clock Off
let me know if there are other options we should put up for the vote... i'll wait on this before posting a poll... also should we allow multiple selection?

8 minutes on, 6 minutes off is really all we need....

How long does it take to play a 6 minute quarter game with accel clock off? I hadn't tried it. Whatever option (with accel clock off) takes about an hour to play I'd be for.

Its what we've always used in years past.
Little under an hour I guess. Acc Clock just depends on how many incomplete passes there are.

accelerated clock speeds up the time to complete a game, but some people find that it limits the amount of adjustments they can make at the line of scrimmage.
so in fact 8-On would finish sooner than 6-Off. we played with 6 minute quarters last year and some games went past one hour. the problem was always the time wasting that occurs when the other person is at the LOS making countless adjustments, causing nausea and boredom. 8-On would eliminate that, but still let us get a healthy amount of offensive plays per side. enough to mount a comeback if you happen to get down big early (which I believe is a necessity in leagues).

btw, two pass-heavy teams should EXPECT a long game. In fact, I like the long quarter length as a deterrent against constant passing and incompletions.

6 minutes (no accel) is a tried and true qtr length that gives the best of both worlds... more plays and a game that lasts for 45-60 minutes.

i think we should just vote accel. on vs accel. off and figure out quarter length after.
i voted for 6 minutes off, but i could care less about quarter length i just want time to make adjustments!

Not status quo more than "tried and true".... historically proven to be just about right :)

hahah.. tru tru.. BUT. I WILL make a rule about clock milking. and some of you won't like it, but eff it. I CANT STAND people grinding the clock down just sitting there. that's why accelerated clock was such a beautiful thing.

no. you miss my entire point.
my point is just sitting there waiting for the other person to snap the ball for an inordinate amount of time. sure, call an audible, fine. sure make a couple of hot routes, ok. but 20 seconds worth of adjustments? or 20 seconds worth of just sitting there? accelerated clock completely eliminates this type of shenanigans. yes, it drains the clock a little, but that is made up with an extended quarter length!

Never understood why there's a demand for giant fake boobs...Most things that are fake try to mimic the real thing... so its passable.
I'd rather date a fat girl with no self esteem than deal with a freak show.
Hmm, wtf they're all freak shows, I guess fake tits are ok, as long as someone else is paying for them. Guess I'm not a boob guy.
