Last year I used this formation in many passing situations. It has a nice man blitz where all 3 LBs and DL are rushing while everyone else is in man coverage. Typically it would get great pressure on 3rd in long type situations. It also had some interesting zone packages if you were okay with just sending the DL.

I'm not really having any success with it this year. Could be that I play with Philly and their LBs aren't that strong (overall ratings of 70, 63 and 70).

Even when I send six like mentioned above the QB has time and picks apart the man D on longer developing routes.

Anyone else use it or have a couple pointers?

I'm using the strong nickel instead. There's a good man blitz where the slot corner is going and the same side LB is in mid zone coverage. I reblitz the LB just outside the tackle so he has to pick between the DE, CB or LB. It's a basic overload that works pretty good.

335 nickel simply the best defensive formation in the game if you know how to use it.

335 is horrible unless your opponent is guranteed to pass the ball.
