I Gotta Say....

... this looks like the right league and the right version of Madden for the "comeback" of the old style VG leagues we used to love. Yea, we're gonna have to tweak some things along the way but that's fine, we can do that cuz we know how. Once we get throught he first season and see what, if any, kinks there are in the armor and fix them, the potential here is incredibly high.

A lot of the veterans are here with a good mix of experienced and new VG leaguers. Hopefully we won't have to replace anyone mid-season.

But things are looking good, people seem to care about what's going on and that means a lot.

i think it all depends on the games replay value... last year the league had the same promise, but in a month half the guys returned the game...

I agree NB. a lot of us that are in here played the '09 version all the way through to the spring. (I posted the sign up thread like in May or June right?) So I KNOW most of the people here will keep it going. JJ, I'm not worried about people returning the game. go ahead and return it for all I care. I'd rather have a cpu team than a disinterested owner. I just ask that if you do back out, let us know right away. There are several people that have asked me to join the league and others that know of other good owners that want to join. So there's no shortage of people to fill up spots. We just want positive vibes and people that will make the league fun.

I think anyone who was going to return the game would have done so by now ( i know you did and I have some concerns that you are now playing off a rented game, not sure how long before you have to return it - then what?)

I believe the all around consensus is that this is a "playable" game with that wanted "fun" value. It's definitely better than last year's game.

This league will come down to owner participation, like always. I see a lot of guys chiming in with stuff already and that's huge. It means something - even if everyone doesn't agree all of the time :) If owners stay active, we've got a winner here.

i already returned the game... im playing on a rental. i wont leave the league im going in knowing i hate the gameplay. but i LOVE franchise... so no biggie. im going to focus on the aspects that dont involve playing to keep me itnerested

there is no return date, i keep it as long as i want, just cant rent anything else until i return it - no biggie.

last year everyon thought it was fun and playable too... but it didnt last. participation will be super high from me, as usuall, i just hope peeps stay interested. i see 8 or 10 guys in this league who returned last years game when we had the franchise league going

Last year is last year though. But if people want to bail then they should do so asap so we can get people in who want to play. I'm sure there are more than 32 people at VG who like the game :)

i dont think we are on the same page. i agree everyone is all in now and all gung ho to do this thing. im saying the success relies on people continuing to have that attitude which is predicated on the replay value of the game.

Yeah, the fantasy draft on 09 was more fun than playing the games, tbh...

This year, the draft is still more fun....but at least the gap is closer.
