DJ, have you been able to log into the franchise via the ps3 as of late? I tried last night and it kept freezing up. The website seems to work just fine though.

I had issues yesterday on the website, but i was able to get in on the console last night.


if worse comes to worse, on the console you can delete the 'game data' from the PS menu and restart madden.

on the website, the EA guys (i follow some of them on twitter) say to delete your browser cache if you have issues. and I notice the site behaves a little better on IE for whatever reason. firefox no likey :(

Well too bad, I likey Firefox, and when its down for me, its down on either browser. Its down more often than not. ;p

well, there's the PSN text chat feature. that can be going on while we're drafting. that might be a good way to do it. there is a chat feature on the web based draft board. so either way. I have a USB keyboard connected to my PS3, so i'm able to type fast on that PSN chat.

also, some people might be on AIM... I dont think i'll sign into AIM. need to focus! ;)

we're going till about 11pm EST.. so hopefully if you get in by 10, you'd only miss maybe 4 or 5 rounds. maybe 6. It all really depends on how many people are on there live and how many are letting the cpu take care of things.

pretty much.

and if you have a dualshock 3 (with rumble) when it's your turn the controller will rumble for a second. the 60 seconds moves quick so you gotta stay on top of it.

60 seconds does go really quick you have to be on the ball thats for sure. Are we staying at 60 seconds the whole draft?

probably.. i know i need the time. i almost wish we could choose 90 seconds lol.. but if a lot of guys have the cpu pick for them it will still go by pretty fast. cpu picks are generally done in less than 3 seconds.

How do you let the cpu pick for you, other than just letting the time run out and having guys pre-ranked?

There wont be any CPU picks, the time will just run down and then the CPU will pick someone you have on your draft board.

well, i'm assuming if you just let the timer run out it will pick for you.. but i tried it out in a test franchise and the cpu picked some guys that weren't ranked on my list.. sooooo.. i dont know. maybe it has to do with that "ready/not ready/away" status.

This is important... i noticed a lot of people are on "Not Ready" and one or two are "Away"..... we need to find out if this is the toggle for auto-pick.

Check that, it's R3, not Square. I'm in there now on both the PC and the console. Everything i type in the chat on the PC side shows up immediately in the chat box on the console side... somtimes a half second quicker

So since I asked earlier, Im just looking for clarification I put guys in order but it says not ready by my name if I happen to not be around will I get who I set up or a CPU random joe?

I asked this of Ryan Ferwerda, one of EA's game developers, on twitter, and he said the cpu will pick based on your draft board "if it makes sense". In other words, there's a possibility it won't go exactly based on your order. Most likely this is if your team has to fill certain positions first before choosing a 3rd WR or stuff like that.

I plan on attending, but I am hedging my bets and pre-ranking my players as well. At least that way, if something goes wrong, I should get a team based on my preferences as opposed to the CPUs.

Go to the online franchise menu. I forget which option it is, but one of them will have Live Draft and right below it is Draft Board. Go to Draft Board and then just start pre-ranking your players :)

that doesn't actually affect that. as long as he's not logged on the cpu will pick for him.
