Ive been searching online all night for actual blitz percentages for NCAA football teams and I cant find them online ( unless Im lookin in the wrong places). Is 70 or 80% realitsic? In my opinion, it isnt. I just wanted to see what you guys thought about that. Just something to bounce around with.

Most NCAA teams blitz around 30% of the time, and really aggressive teams will blitz 50-60% of the time (teams like Washington State). Anything over 60% is considered to be REALLY high. I remember last year in the Holiday Bowl, and Washington State said they planned to blitz Vince Young as much as 66% of the time, which is an astronomically high number compared to what most defenses usually do.

I wouldnt put much stock in those numbers. You could send one guy on every play to get 100% but wouldnt seem as agressive as sending 3 once per set of downs. If I'm not making any sense, oh well :o

Air Raid, funny you should say that cause now thinking about it I dont give up big drives just big plays, maybe I should rethink my defense thinking about it.

....Hey Trojan do whatever works for ya.....I don't blitz all the time because I like to make my opponents work for thier scores....most videogame ballers like to score quick or at least pick up 10 yards or more a play....If they get less then 10 yards a play or don't score quickly they feel rushed and start to do some dumb things....I feel that the less scoring there is, the better my chances, because I have the confidence that I can score and I don't mind picking up 4 yards a play and moving down the field.....but that is just my strategy....doesn't mean that it will work for everybody.......plus I just HATE getting burned on the big play......
