Half man half zone?

Im playing this guy and Im running alot of basic cover 3 Im stopping him for a while I switch some d's but this is my basic, So after a quarter he comes out every play in a trips type formation and he hikes then throws a quick bullet pass to one of the 3 wr's who are open, so I say okay i have to run man then he started throwing slants outs etc. I was just wondering is there a way I can keep the wr's in man but have a nice zone for the backs and te's.

Man Cover 2 audible all the linebackers to a hook zone... 3 things you can do with the DE; Leave them alone, QB contain, or have them cover the flats... if you leave them alone the flats are wide open, but if you have them cover the flats, you lose run support....
