I came around & tried the 3-4 pinch play once & it seemed to work minus the guy breaking a tackle 4 a TD, but was curious if there is anything a bit more reliable to work with.

I didnt get a chance to play much last year & heard they were always give mes. So was curious if this is the same thing this year or actually you have some way to counter it.

Thanks

Last year, my FB Dive stopper was 3-4 Even - MLB Cross Fire. Pinch the LBs and blitz the SS in between the blitzing ILBs. I don't know if it works this year because I don't have the Even in my pb. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

4-3 defense... Pinch and Crash the line inside... Man up with the linebackers...

Around the goal line, go with Goal Line defense, pinch and crash inside...

If i expect a middle run, I'll also control the DT in the middle and cover the center and work to get penetration.

try the 46 inside blitz and make sure the blitzin lbs are filling the a gaps. I used it a couple of time and it was ok. You can mess around with shifting line to see if that helps also.

Seems like i found something with the pinch play in 3-4 normal formation.

In case anyone is interested or needs help with this issue, here is how i briefly labbed it.

Pick the above play, depending on what side the FB is on, is the side you want to crash your deline (seen it work the other way as well some what).

So if the FB is on the Left side of the field crash the line left. Then take control of the LILB, and when he snaps he should either run into you, or you should be able to make a slight change in your angle and easily hit him.

If the FB is on the right side, you can still keep the left ILB blitzing, but this time make the RILB blitz as well (if you dont and he stays in man the lb will hesitate and step back for a sec during the hike), and when its hiked it should work the same was as it did on the left side. Dont forget to crash your line to the right this time.

Let me know if this is helpful at all. Seemed to work as i mentioned, would love to get some feed back on it.

Me if I am sure it is a FB Dive I will go to a 46 defense and use Cover 1. Then I will take my MLBs and stack them on the line and blitz them both. It works decently.

That is true it is not even close to what it was last year...I think he is more talking along the lines of stoping it in back field not really long gains. The FB dive is still good for a yard or two sometimes if you catch the D napping it could go for more. But your right it is not like it was last year, I really have not ran into it much at all this year.
