Defensive Playcalling

I recently decided to take the aztecs but i can't seem to have my defense play like they do. Because last year they were 8th in the country in defense. Now I know that they played the MWC but I still can't contain anybody. Thanks in advance

anyone??? It seems as if I can stop the run but I have trouble with the pass. Mostly it is underneath but it almost seems like i am running prevent but I am not. I man blitz, zone blitz and also use zone man but I still can't stop them from tearing me up underneath.

For pretty good coverage underneath, try cover 2 spy plays, or plays such as 3-4, nickel, dime cover 2 max.

By underneath u mean the hooks and short drag routes? The best coverage I get out of those has been the 3-4 cover D's. 3-4 Cover 2 with shifting the LB's to the left, also good for run stopping. AKA, makeing the 30 stack defense out of the 3-4.
