The purpose of our season, and every week of play, is "Do Your Part". The week's deadline is posted, everyone must do their part for the league to move forward: play the game, respect each other, follow the rules, and do the recap.

djKianoosh Colts 20 - nevadaballin Texans 17 in OT!

Garret Hartley kicked two late field goals to help the djKianoosh Colts beat division rival Nevadaballin Texans in overtime, 20-17!

Colts QB Matt Gutierrez, filling in for the injured Matt Schaub for the 2nd start of his young career, led the Colts in the 4th quarter and overtime with clutch plays and pure grit. "I'm just having fun out there. I know this is Schaub's team, but he ain't comin through that door, ya know? So I have to do my part and help this team reach its goals." Indeed, the Colts needed him to be at his best late in the game and in overtime, where a couple of clutch throws to Antonio Bryant (http://www.easportsworld.com/en_US/video/15066355) and to Juaquin Iglesias (http://www.easportsworld.com/en_US/video/15066352) put the Colts in range for the winning FG.

Earlier, when the Colts were down 10-7, Adrian Wilson, who two games ago was repositioned from SS down to ROLB, picked off a Josh Freeman pass to the left flat and somersaulted into the endzone (http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/15066222) to give the Colts a 14-10 lead early in the 4th quarter. Wilson still hasn't completely accepted the position change, but it does seem he's having a bigger impact on the game "I do what I do, man. I ain't worried about all that. As long as I'm on the field, I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and help us win. Whatever it takes man."

Then Freeman responded for the Texans, taking them on a methodical, 70 yard, 4 minute drive, capped off by a strong Leron McClain touchdown run from the 5 yard line at the 2 minute mark. The Colts had no answer for the Texans no-name receiving crew, though at the very least the Colts used their timeouts to preserve some time on the clock.

That's where Gutierrez began to show his wares, with less than 2 minutes on the clock, no timeouts and down by 3. On a critical 4th and 3 from his own 42, he couldn't find anyone open against Nevada's 9 man coverage, so he scrambled for the first down (http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/15066294), keeping the Colts' season alive. He then found Mendenhall and Malcolm Kelly open on back to back plays to get the Colts into FG range for the tie. Gutierrez hit 9 different receivers on the day. "I needed every single one of them. My teammates really fought hard for me. I made one mistake forcing a throw to Antonio (http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/15066176), but I'll learn from it. Anyway nothing is possible without the O line. Those guys kept me clean all day. I got some turf pellets in my shoes, but that's just cause I had to scramble a couple times. I hate those pellets though."

With the win, the Colts and Texans are tied at 6-5 heading down the stretch run. They split the season series, winning at each other's houses, but the Texans have a much better division and conference record.

The Cardinals came into the game looking to keep a hold of their #2 seeding for the playoffs and managed to go into Tenn. and pick up the victory.

Not too much excitement here as the Cardinals took a 14-0 first quarter lead on two K.Warner TD passes. After two more TD's in the second quarter, the Cards took a 28-7 lead at half time.

With two FG's and a TD on Defense the Cards ended the 3rd quarter up 41-7 and an uneventful fourth quarter kept the score the same.

Final Score 41-7 Cards.
