Yes, he will be until the 10th. Again, you have options: play CPU or a sub. A sub is preferred, and it would makes sense here to give NB first shot. If he's not available, then I will arrange someone else. However, contrary to others' suggestions, I will try to get someone who's fighting for playoff with you (NB, DJ, Inde, Mo, Mal, etc.). This will provide the best game than someone who's from another conference or has no playoff hope and subbing just for the sake of subbing.

Everyone should earn their wins and losses and playoff spot.

You're the only one who thinks this is the way to go vincent. NB's thread is proof enough of that, while no one cared about a WR playing DB, the response to having a wildcard rival sub was pretty one sided.

Its just a game though, I enjoy the draft anyways. Looking forward to next year!

What a flawed idea all around...if the team was empty I could find a new owner easy, but Snake has them held hostage so a wildcard rival gets a free shot at me?

I wouldn't sub for this game simply because i have a real game vs Donkey soon afterwards. I think the last think either one of us wants is to create some familiarity on plays and playcalling before the real game. I don't like the sim idea either because we know Madden could very well dial up a loss for the Dolphins (which i wouldn't mind lol).

Play the CPU.

1) I did mention that you do have the options of playing the CPU or sub.

2) If u play a sub, why not play someone else whose agenda is trying to make the playoff as you? Why not compete against another playoff team? Why play someone else who is subbing just to sub, win or loose they don't care as much? I see what u are saying, but I look at things from a different perspective. It's not a flawed idea. For me, why not think from a different perspective and make people earn everything.

3) Noone's going to solicit anyone to knock someone else out of playoff because I will monitor this. If there's an owner for a team, then that owner will play the game. Snake is not holding Jags hostage. I just chose not to get a new owner to play some meaningless games this late in the season when people are vying for playoff - then i have to boot him and put Snake back when Snake returns. That don't make sense to me.

4) If you don't like the idea, then we can poll it. Again, this is as much your league as mine. My idea is not a rule, it's an idea/suggestion. U have options as i have mentioned.

Also, if u have something to say, then present it constructively. We will make the change.

Yeah, I'm sorry if it came off angry....I'm just that opposed to the wildcard race being decided by subs that are playoff owners.

I don't like the idea of me playing CPU deciding it either, ideally a sub of relatively equal skill to Snake from the NFC is best.

But barring that, I think simming it is the fairest way to go.

The game meant nothing to the original owner. Its not a highlighted game nor a matchup between playoff hopefuls.

Why should it be made into one?

If they were 7-5 sure, I see your point. Get a playoff owner in that case.

Earn it? I never feel like I earn anything from pressing buttons on a controller, but I guess we're just different.

It seems common sense that the sub should be comparable to the original owner's record, and not be in the playoff hunt against the other owner....

I still haven't seen any good reason to support the other point of view, aside from delusional machismo. Mine is definitely the more logical solution.
