Final Week!

The Bills ended their season with a 17-10 victory over the Indy Colts. Both teams finished 9-7, but only the Colts will be playing for a shot at the Super Bowl.

First quarter started off slow. Both teams threw picks on their opening drives which resulted in a 0-0 ball game after the first quarter.

The Bills heated up in the 2nd quarter with Brennan moving down the field and finishing the drive with a td pass to Joey Galloway for a 7-0 lead. Ed Reed intercepted Thigpen on the Colts ensuing possession and had an amazing return to the 5 in which he broke/juked a bunch of guys (wouldve put a vid up if he had scored...thought it was pretty crazy). Oren Oneal punched it in from the 1 to give the Bills a 14-0 lead. Another interception gave the Bills the ball back and Rhys Llloyd connected from 58 yards for a 17-0 Bills lead at half.

Coach DJ gave his team an inspiring speech, as his team came out in the 2nd half with a vengeance. They shut down the Bills on their opening possession, which would become a trend in the half, and were able to storm down the field and score on a pass to Pierre Thomas to cut the lead to 17-7 after 3 quarters of play.

Brennan started to have a meltdown as he threw a horrible pass, another trend in the half, which was picked off giving the Colts the ball and great field position. They were faced with a 4th and goal at the 3 yard line with under 4 minutes to go, and DJ opted for the field goal making it 17-10 Bills. BTB at this point had zero confidence in his offense, and no longer trusted his defense (which had given up points the last 2 colts possessions), so he decided to try and end the game on this drive. However Wells was unable to do much on the ground, and they faced a 3rd and 8. If they picked it up they could run the clock out for the win, and if they failed the Colts would get the ball back. Brennan came out in the gun and noticed that the Colts had no one manned up on Massaquoi on the far left so he hiked it and threw a quick pass that Massaquoi caught to convert the 3rd down. 3 plays later the Bills were able to end the season on a positive note.

Ben Roethlisberger was quoted as saying, "watch out for me next year". Uh oh

GG.. for some reason I was all mixed up. When you were on offense I somehow expected you to run more  and when I was on offense I definitely should have ran more just for the mere presence of Ed Reed and Rashean Mathis and Namdi Asomugha. That secondary is LETHAL. I think you would have knocked people OUT in the playoffs. I even chose the Ravens O pb just because I wanted to run more, but when the game started, I abandoned it almost immediately. no clue why. I guess I have an Andy Reid complex.

Game is crap, I dominated most of the game and somehow he sticks around to win it.

I wish the Madden Gods would stay the hell out of my games.

Browns are kind of happy it over now. In retrospect, I prefer to win out right. With the way this game plays, if you have to wait for the last game to decide it, that's just too nerve ranking. We look forward to the draft to fill some of the glaring holes that we have to be more competitive next year.. Watch out for the Browns because they will definitely be in the hunt!!!

Chargers hasn't play much being out of the playoffs and all, but I have been playing online and learning a lot. Look for the Chargers to make some noise next season.
