is my slow target acquisition. i can't even count the amount of times i've stared at an enemy through the sites and just not noticed it, or not until it's too late, and then i get shot. or how many times i've just ran by dudes who were off to the side, or laying prone. i'm not sure that i've ever even seen an enemy on underpass.

i also seem slow to fire when coming face to face with an enemy. like i'll get a shot or two in but die and be like wtf. when i watch kill cam it's obvious the guy started firing well before i did. i'm not a horrible player in general (k/d like 1.08), but this has me so frustrated at times.

use the shot-gun

all you need is one shot at close range

no, i'm on 360. and i use the shotty, i have almost 400 kills with it. i'm not talking solely about real close encounters though.

Have you adjusted the brightness on your tv? Sounds dumb but it made a difference for me.

Also, tinkering with your sensitivity should help. Takes a little while to get used to, but the higher the sensitivity, the easier it is to sway your gun and get the jump. The default sensitivity is crazy slow.

SOH pro for faster ads and lightweight pro is great to bring your gun up when running and gunning.

i did that as well. i had it set kinda dark like it asked me to do on story mode. but now that i am playing pretty much exclusively online i have it turned up.

good calls on that. i will try upping my brightness a little. i am just using the default sensitivity and a time or two haven't been able to sway my gun as fast as someone was running across me. i love SOH but a lot of times find it hard to use over scavenger.

This was me when I 1st started. I had never even owned a 1st person shooter on anything except a PC and that was in 2000.

The 1st time I played MW was at a friends house and he kept saying.. "didnt you see that guy?" "There goes another one." "he's right there!"

I had no idea. I think your eyes adjust to what is scenery vs player.
I'm pretty good at spotting people very far away for longshot kills. I seem to have a harder time with people who are closer.
So I gues I'm MW2 farsighted. lol

But yea adjust your brightness or contrast on your TV. So the differential between light and dark is greater. Someone prob said this already but there's also the brightness thingy within the game.
