Which one do you guys think is better ? I used to think default was but switching to tact. seems to have improved my shot. Tact. tends to make you forget about your knife forcing you to shoot more , you can do the drop shot a lot easier too. Thoughts ?

I JUST switched to tactical yesterday...I'll admit I got the crouch/prone down immediately...But I crouched while knifing for probably 3 or 4 hours (took yesterday off) before I got comfortable with it...
Now that I'm used to it I absolutely love it, movement is SO MUCH better having all controls on your thumbs. I didn't think it'd make THAT much of a difference but now that I got it I love it.

I'd say Tactical is better for the one reason to mentioned, the drop shot. I drop shot and I still use Default, only because I played so damn much using Default I think it'd mess me up to switch.

Proning or laying down while shooting (R3 stick on Tactical). Makes it harder for your enemy to pop ya from longer distances. I'd say even close distances it can be effective. Sometimes I'll jump and then drop down while shooting...especially when turning corners.
Yeah ive seen guys jump before they shoot or just lay down prone and shoot. I need to start doing that myself.

Switched to tactical at the start of this game. There was about a day of trying to knife people and crouching by mistake. on the Since then, I haven't looked back. I don't drop-shot as often as I should, but it's great for dropping down to reload and when you're using cover. The right stick is much more responsive on the PS3, for what it's worth, which is great.

Definitely use tactical unless you hold the controller weird like me. I use the "claw" grip where I can aim with thumb, shoot with my middle finger, and jump/dropshot with my index all at the same time.

I changed my setup to tactical, it does slow down the knifing a bit but it is nice to have full control of movement on both sticks.
Now instead of knifing when I want to shoot the worse that happens is an accidental drop shot.

How the hell do you pull that off.

Like I'm picturing it in my mind, then I pick up a controller and I just don't get it. Unless, cause he said claw grip, he has his hand completely over the controller like almost hovering, the thumb obviously on the stick, index over face buttons, and the middle finger if long enough should reach the back buttons. Still that sounds effed up.
I wonder how he played madden

I can move my index to any of the 4 buttons, along with RB at the top. I guess what makes it possible is that I use the side of my finger to push the buttons down rather than the usual.
Sorry about the picture size, I tried resizing it and I still couldn't get it to shrink down.

Is that how you played Madden too? Jesus no idea how you can hit buttons with the side of your finger.

Yeah, this is how I've always held a controller. I think it's a big reason why I was able to user catch so much.

That is weird to say the least wow. Whatever works for you though. When you getting a PS3? We always need owners for MLBTS

Don't you get blisters on the side of your fingers.

Earliest I would ever get it is if the parents decide to pick up a blue ray player.
And to you other guys, it's really not as weird as you guys make it sound. :p
No blisters on the side of my hand or anything, I get worse from gripping pencils. It really is effective though, really great for jump-shots and dropshots. It's not like my hands are really big or I'm double jointed or anything.

"Failed miserably" should not be a term associated with this. Maybe "missed a few melees for an hour or two." He definitely switched to southpaw layout by mistake.

I was using the class I have SET UP for knifing... (the one I almost always use).
- ACR NT
- Magnum TK
- Claymore
- Stunner
- Marathon Pro
- Lightwieght Pro
- Commando Pro
- Matrydom
NOT A FEW MELEES, A LOT OF MELEES....

Why in God's name would you carry an assault riffle on a lightweight knifing class. Anybody who gets knifed by you because they couldn't hear you trudging along should have their PSN membership revoked.

I hardly use the ACR, just for long distances. but this class is BEAST. I get so many kills with the TK its so cool. Why not use the ACR as my back-up?
